"When a villain card would enter play, you may discard it instead and destroy this card."

Although I doubt it was the intention, this seems to actually cause an Instant Kill for Miss Information when she flips?

My thoughts - it has been stated repeatedly that Miss Information is not a target until she flips to Revealed Saboteur, at which point she is treating like any other target that is entering game play...  Some might argue that she is a Character Card, rather than simply a Villain Card.  However, in previous cases, anytime a hero ability could be used to destroy a card, and they wanted it restricted from hitting Character Cards, it would specifically state something to effect of "select any card, other than a character card".  Buffer Overflow does not say this... so could she, theoretically, wipe out Miss Information on her flip?

Miss Information's card has already entered play in the very begining of the game. At flip, a target has entered played, not a card. This would not trigger any "when a card enters play" effects.

Here's the wording of the original ruling on Miss Information to help:

The ruling can be found at https://greaterthangames.com/comment/25240#comment-25240.  As Ronway said, the target aspect of Miss Information is entering play, but the card is not—which means Miss Information is not entering play as a villain card, so Buffer Overflow should not trigger.
