I know someone has asked the question before, so forgive me for being the guy to ask it again.
When a villian destroys ongoing cards, does that apply also to technology cards (and vice versa)? From my understanding they operate the same, but have different titles.

If you mean Equipment, then no. If a card destroys Ongoing, then it only destroys Ongoings and vice verse.
To clarify, they are Equipment cards. And no, an effect that destroys Ongoing cards does not apply to Equipment cards and vice versa.

Note, many destruction cards say 'Ongoing And Equipment' or 'Ongoing Or Equipment' (especially the ones that make you choose) - so they tend to cover their own bases
Think of it this way; anything that does not say "One-Shot" stays on the field; this can include Ongoings, Equipment, Components, Relics, Modes, and many are combinations of such. Anything that destroys these will specify in the card text. If a villain card says "destroy an Equipment Card" or one of Omnitron-X's cards say "Destroy a Component card", Omni-X's Innervation Ray can be destroyed by either as it's title is "Equipment, Component".
Any card that has Ongoing in the title can be destroyed by Ongoing destruction; anything with Equipment in the title can be destroyed by Equipment destruction. In the end, it all comes down to the text of the card.
Thanks for the clarification. I've played games that add new things with new editions/expansions and by doing that they have to make the old cards apply to the new cards even when the verbiage isn't the same. Gets confusing. What I like about the <Games crew is that it seems they have the whole plan on paper (to some degree) so you don't have any of that sort of thing going on.
There was quite a bit at first, but I think the system is solidified enough that there won't be big problems in the future.
