Hi! First of all, newbie here. Played a few games so far and loved it (really hoping the UK gets more of the expansions soon). And this seems like a cool community, too.

Second, many apologies if this has been asked before...or is just a generally stupid query. I searched a fair bit, but couldn't find an answer.

One of our first games was against Citizen Dawn and Devastating Aurora came out near the start (so not too fatal, fortunately. And ultimately, we won). Now the way a couple of friends ruled it was that because it says all cards and nothing about 'in play', the action also destroys things in your hand as well. I had my suspicions at the time, since I couldn't really think of cards it didn't cover, but carried on anyway.

Based on what I've seen in other discussions while searching, it would appear that we made a mistake and it should only destroy things in-play and not cards you have in your hand. So, since we'll be looking to increase the difficulty in future, I want to make sure we're not handicapping ourselves unnecessarily...

Any help is much appreciated. =)

Yes it would only destroy things in play. Destroying effects are always something inplay. If it were to remove cards from hand it would say discard.

Ah, thought so. Thanks very much!
