Hey all, quick simple question, I was trying out unity, haven't really played her much since I got her and I had a question about how modular workbench is played in regards to how her power can be played.

Modular Workbench - Discard 1 card. If you do, put 1 mech. golem from hand into play.

Unity's power - Destroy 1 equipment card.  If you do, put a mech. golem from hand into play.

Now my question is, from reading spiffs doc. it says her power can destroy any equipment on the field, even if it isn't my own.  Now if I play Modular Workbench, can anyone discard a card for me to play a golem?

I ask this because 1, i didn't see a link to the actual topic in spiffs doc. so i'm unaware of the argument letting unity's power destory anyones equipment, so my arguement is that since the wording on the two cards are very simiular and it really isnt saying it can't be played this way, Whats stopping me from playing modular workbench that way?

Also I didnt find anything in the official rulebook saying I cant affect someone's hand this way.

Thanks for all your input ahead of time, let me know if you don't understand my stance on the subject and i'll clearify as needed !

Workbench says if you discard a card you put a golem into play, so if someone else did you wouldn't get to play the golem.

I believe that discarding is personal, if it isn't it says so, like Chrono-Ranger's card.  Equipment and ongoing are generally treated the opposite way, with it specifying if it is your card, otherwise it is any.
