My wife and I want to ensure that we're playing Unity correctly.

Unity's power: "Destroy one equipment card. If you do put a mechanical golem into play."

We realize the wording means she can target any equipment currently in play, but does it also allow her to destroy an equipment card from her hand? "Destroy one equipment card." seems general enough for this interpretation and Unity still pays the price intended by loosing the equipment. Any official ruling on this? We want to ensure that we play the game accurately since it has what we feel is the perfect comic book feel...we want those sweaty palm moments where you have no idea if you're going to beat the bad guy--but we don't want to overpower or underpower a hero either.

Feedback is appreciated.

And a huge thank you to Greater Than Games for creating a game that goes into my "zombie apocolypse stash". This game would be as valuable as ammo based on its simplicity of play but amazing range of strategy. Bravo!

I don't own Unity but I can let you know the answer to whether you can destroy a card in your hand. Basically, you can't - losing a card from your hand is discarding it, not destroying it. Destroying a card can only be done once that card is in play.

Also, if all it says is "Destroy an equipment card", it isn't specifying a deck, so you could destroy an equipment card belonging to another hero if you wanted.

Ameena is exactly right. It is impossible to destroy a card in hand as you may only destroy whats in play. The fun thing is making a bot out of the Staff of Rod, that must be some powerful bot, right?
