Haka of Battle mentions that it increases the "next" damage done by Haka. How does that interact with something like Rampage or Taiaha that hits multiple targets? Does each target take the increased damage or only the first one?
Just as it says, it increases the next damage. Thus, only the first target of Rampage or Taiaha takes the extra damage.
Only the first one, I believe. Nothing is really simultaneous in the game, so even if an ability targets multiple things, one of those targettings has to happen first, and that will be the "next" instance of damage from Haka.
That initially what I thought, but it seems really underwhelming. I figured that it might count for the entire set of damage being put out by the single source. IE: Haka of Battle for 4 -> Rampage hits every non-hero for 9 then every hero for 2.
For how fat his hand can get, it's necessary. It's not uncommon for Haka to dump ~20 cards to Haka of Battle to finish off the Villain.

Haka of battle can be amazing when played at the right time. My most recent game, we chose Bunker, Fixer, Visionary and Haka. Random villain gave us the Ennead, and Shu was in the initial draw (immune to melee and projectile).
We picked off the other villains one by one, but could never really touch Shu. Finally Visionary drew Wrest the Mind, played it on Haka. Haka dumped his entire hand for 23 damage off his base power, Visionary converted it to something else, added 1, and we killed Shu in one hit for a hero victory.
Thematically, we decided that Visionary turned Haka's fist into pure energy, allowing him to punch the air.
I believe the card you are refering to is Twist the Ether, as Wrest the Mind, in this case, would have been ineffective and illegal.
