Hey everyone,

I was introduced to this game by a friend and I really loved it so I bought it.  I think maybe my friend taught me the rules wrong though, but I'm not sure.  On the back of the rule book, where the quickguide for turns is, it says that hero turn consists of playing a card and then playing a power.  I know that you can always choose not to do either or both, but is the order of these turns interchangeable?  In other words, can you play a power and then play a card?  Or do you have to play a card before you play a power, if you indeed do both?

If this is already posted somewhere, I apologize.

Thanks for the help!

You have to first play a card, then use a power. You cannot change the order.

You have to do then in order, unless a card tells you specifically to do otherwise.

The order on the back of the rulebook is in order of the proper actions. So, "Play, Power, Draw" is the correct order.

Thanks for the help everyone.  My friend was playing incorrectly.

It’s also important to note that you “Play” cards and “Use” powers. So you can play any card (whether “Power” printed on it or not) from your hand during your play phase (unless specified otherwise) and use any one power that you have in play on your power phase.

I’m not sure if you were doing that or not from your terminology, but I wanted to make sure it was made clear!

Welcome!
