Hi All,

Each of Omnitron's components say:

Destroy this card when Omniton is dealt 7 or more damage in one round.

I ran into a situation where I had taken out Omnitron without dealing him 7 damage in that round.  Omnitron was "gone", but some of his drones/devices were still in play so the game was still going.  I technically can't deal Omnitron any more damage, but techincally he can't deal me any damage with the components (as the cards all say Omnitron deals damage).  I assume they are usless cards.  Or does Omnitron's ghost stike back from the dead?

Thanks

Ben

They remain in play. Their text most likely has no effect, since omnitron is not in the game, but they may have some effect based on other cards in play (Sub Zero ongoing destruction, Ra's card that does damage based on ongoing, and so on). In addition, you continue to play one card each villain turn from Omnitron's deck until the heroes win (by destroy all devices) or are defeated. Since Omnitron's character card is destroyed, you don't do either of omnitron's bonus end of turn plays.

Agree that the components stay in play and don't do anything. Fascinating situation.

Yup.  With the coming of WCos, there are now *lots* of situations where a card can end up just "sitting" somewhere without haing much effect.  Sky Scraper's Links, Captain Cosmic's Constructs, and Guise's Lemme See That can all have their targets leave play, but *they* stay where they are until something specifically effects *them*.

Good points. I hadn’t thought how some of the hero’s cards are affected by the villain’s ongoing.

Thanks for the clarifications
