A couple of questions popped up during a recent game against Wager Master.

What do you really know?

Issue #1 - When this card is in effect, when do you check to see if the player's card is on top of the deck?

- option 1 - Only at the end of the turn after shuffling the cards in to the deck.

- option 2 - Anytime the card is on top of the deck (as per Ambuscade's traps). Since the rule is listed in a separate paragraph from the directions on shuffling the card in, my instinct tells me that option 2 is the correct answer, although the more painful one.

Issue #2 - When this card is no longer in play, but the hero cards are still on top of the deck, how do you resolve playing them during the villain turn?

- option 1 - any card that specifies "you" in the tagline refers to Wager Master and many complicated things will need to be discussed

- option 2- the card is still a hero's card, even if it is being played out out of the villain deck, so it is treated as though it were played by that hero even if it is played from the villain deck. I favor option 2 again, as it makes gameplay far less confusing.

Issue #3 - When shuffling in hero cards, do you still draw from the top of the deck of incapacitated heroes?

The card makes no distinction between incapacitated and active heroes.

Breaking the Rules

Issue - When you have an effect, for example an environment effect like Blighted Streets that states "At the start of your turn, you may skip your entire turn to...", how does this interact with Breaking the Rules?

- Option 1 - You would have to skip every other phase of your turn first, and then take this option when you reach the start of turn segment of your turn. After all, you're not skipping anything otherwise.

- Option 2- You can take the rest of your turn and still skip your turn during the start of turn phase. You're just doing things in the current correct order, it's not your fault the world is backwards.

- Option 3 - You cannot use this ability - Since you had the other phases first, even if you skipped them, you cannot skip them again after the fact. You will have to find some other way to get rid of the card.

I'm not sure which answer works best for this one. I think option 2 is the most fun, but i can see the arguments in all three.

What do you really know
Issue #1: option 2, I think
issue #2: wdyrk is indestructible (probably because of this very issue). That means it can’t leave play
Issue #3: when a hero is incapped, you remove their deck from the game with the rest of their cards.

What do you really know?

Issue 2 - Ok, we had a rules error during the game, it was shuffled in with the condition cards when Wager master flipped. Solves that problem.

Issue3 - Thanks for the clarification

In case you haven't experienced it yet, getting two of those in play is a nightmare.

Yeah, happened with my first game against Wager Master (in his final version), and by the 3rd round. It was a slow, painful death for us.

Breaking the Rules, it's option 2.

I have another question about What do you really know?

If you have both copies of What do you really know? in play and a hero card is on top of the villan deck does the associated hero take 4 damage for each copy of What do you really know? for a total of 8 per card?

Yes, that is correct. Existential angst is most superheroes' primary weakness. Even ahead of glowing green rocks.

They should be dealt 4 damage twice.
