Ok, I'm just looking for a quick clarification about how Captain Cosmic works - in particular, what happens when Constructs are destroyed.
So, Sustained Influence, Destructive Response, and PWCC's innate power are all linked to when a Construct is destroyed. If I'm reading it right, you CAN trigger Sustained Influence and Destructive Response (dealing damage, then returning the Construct to play), but you CANNOT trigger PWCC's innate power with either one because the text says "you may shuffle it into your deck instead" so no destruction actually occurs.
Is this correct?

Responses to destruction occur as the card hits the trash, so you can't time even the damage from destructive response to be before you shuffle it in, because the option to shuffle it in will necessarily come before the damage or putting it back into play.

That being said, I don’t believe Potent Disruption requires the actual destruction, so you could use it, deal damage, and play a card off of it, I think.

I agree with this, tenatively. The one problem I see is the way it is worded, while not including a "if you do" has you deal damage equal to the hp of the destroyed card, if the card was not destroyed, does it still deal damage? If so would it work through Fixed Point?
