Hey all! Long time lurker/player here, first time poster.
With Ambuscade's new advanced challenge mode, (and all of the new challenges are awesome!) I've played him a couple times while actually being challenged (how ironic). Hence, I believe I found a loophole which I don't think has been posted here. If he is cloaked, and you destroy the cloaking device and it is replayed before he his turn (via vanish and an out-of-turn play), will he re-flip and become uncloaked as long as the cloaking device is in play?
Danké!

That is correct.

I like to pretend when this happens that Ambuscade believes that he is actually invisible and is amazed at the fact that the heroes are punching him with such a great accuracy.

That is great.
Will second that challenge Ambuscade is awesome. Will replace the normal Ambuscade from now on, just a great change. Although if you get a good amount of devices in the trash and hit an Armed and dangerous it is ugly as heck with all the traps resolving and re-shuffling, it puts you on a weird timer, the more devices hit the trash the more likely Armed and Dangerous is going to crush you.

There was a scenario in which I played a game against Ambuscade in the Freedom Tower. Training Simulator was played, and we moved his cloaking device from the trash into play. I imagined Ambuscade inside a simulation in which he was cloaked, but everyone could see him just fine, since the simulation wasn't real. And he remained plugged into the machine, fighting the heroes at the same time.

Yes, I saw that earlier today. I actually emailed Jodi to find out if we could order a card with that errata. Apparently it’s strictly a case of clarification, not an actual reworded card we can obtain.

I'd hope the next reprint of the oversized villain cards will have the change.

It wouldn’t be on Ambuscade,
though. The change was made to his cloaking device.

Things we learned from this.
Either a promo Ambuscade will have an Invisible Stalker side, will not use the Cloak, or there wont be one. Not quite as enlightening as I had hoped!

I'm looking forward to seeing how well the traps work in the digital version of the game. While I like the idea of the mechanic, because the cards are curved slightly in opposite directions an overhand shuffle seems to frequently end up with traps accumulated at the bottom of the deck. Riffle shuffling is aggravating with a deck that small.

And tends to bend the cards. :(. That is the main reason I don't fight Ambuscade. No more damaged cards, please!

I use pro sleeves so I don't get this problem.

How does that prevent it? The only thing I can tgink is that with sleeves you do a side-shuffle instead. Next question. Is what I call a bridge shuffle the same as a riffle shuffle? Or is that a side shuffle? Because bridge shuffle don't like Ambuscade, but the side shuffle is okay with him.

Bridge follows the rifle. Rifle is downwards from two decks placed edge to edge, bridge is the follow up moving them together.
At least that’s how I’ve always understood it

Yeah, a bridge shuffle helps reduce cards warping from a rifle shuffle...

Okay. Then bridge + riffle = Ambuscade's cards cry.
