Mr. Fixer
Styles:
Driving Mantis is awesome, a phenomenal tanking card, esp. with Pipe Wrench. It is better the fewer heroes you have, which is awesome. A 2 damage redirectionfrom a villain back to a villain is a 4 damage swing, but it also lets allies like Expat or AZ use extra points of damage to hit the same villain an additional time. With Pipe Wrench and Mantis you can redirect the third hit of Flying Smash, the second hit of Taiaha, etc. It is really good.
Alternating Tiger: This one is really good in advanced when villains are more likely to have reduction. Reliable damage is often better than lots of damage in those matches.
Riveting Crane: Trades Fixer doing damage for everyone doing it. It can be tough to get over reduction, but when you can you can set up your whole team. One of my favorite uses in when Apostate gets his relics out at -2 damage taken and the one redirecting all damage to itself. Bloody Knuckles+Crane strips that reduction and a power like Squall just tears up. Is really good with Crowbars when a lot of targets have -1 taken.
Grease Monkey Fist lets you change to any damage type in the game, one of very few cards with that ability. The +1 damage is also solid.
Tools:
Dual Crowbars: Fixer's minion beating weapon. 2 targets 2 damage is pretty good for 1 card in play.
Jack Handle: All non-hero targets is strong, esp. when you can modify it to increase damage or make it irreducible.
Tire Iron: Great Card. I love this and Tiger vs. advanced Voss, when -3 damage dealt to villains is frequently going to come up and you can just crush a guard. Also let's you avoid certain flip conditions that trigger on the villain having 0hp or less.
Hoist Chain: A less good stun bolt (you have to deal damage) but it is still really great for crushing villains, can work with Mantis in a pinch to get that 3 damage shot down to redirectable levels.
Pipe Wrench: Solid, beastly with Mantis.
The best of the other cards:
Charge: phenomenal card, it is better than Overdrive because it is +1 damage. Does everything Overdrive does 1 damage better.
Overdrive: My favorite with Hoist Chain, dropping Apostate or Matriarch damage by 2 is crazy good.
Grease Gun: It's great, high cost though.
Salvage Yard: Phenomenal, I've gone into lists about great uses of this card, but to make it quick the recovery of equipment, the second power use if you've gotten an overdrive in the trash, it's amazing. The best trick is to undo discard costs for heroes like Bunker, Omnitron-X, Haka, etc. This card is the best one in Fixer's deck, no one else can match the cards to hand power it wields.
Harmony: Great when you get to use it, not that big a deal though.
Bloody Knuckles: Situational, when a certain target needs to go down, or to get over reduction with Crane. It is awesome when someone like Legs or Naturalist are tanking for everyone.
Toolbox: I like this card for one reason: when limited destruction requires a sacrifice you can feed it your toolbox, also use it to feed Unity a Golem.
Combos:
These are going to get a lot better shortly, but we all have to wait for that.
Writhe: Blackout. Hit Fixer, Fixer gets to modify a hit to every non-hero target by his equip, with Jackhandle in play that's X hits of 2 damage to everything where X is the number of non-hero targets in play that can live long enough. Crowbars/Monkey/BloodyKnuckles is the best I've pulled off. Fixer took 4, then wiped the Chairman off the board from full Health.
Also with Crowbars and Tiger Writhe's signature lets him return the Driving Mantis favor.
Redirecting those extra hits from hero friends to double up on a target.
Adept: Out of turn powers and card play are wicked with Fixer, esp when you play Grease Gun out of turn to avoid its cost.
KNYFE: KNYFE and her destroy on use equipment love Fixer.
Nightmist: Oblivion loves Driving Mantis, and Nightmist loves getting cards back in hand. You can KO a villain with their own attacks pretty easily with these 2.
Haka loves getting cards back, and with Ground Pound + Grease Gun you can crush the enemies ability to hit you. Taiaha double up is fun, and Rampage likes Driving Mantis a lot.
Expat: Expat with speed loading and Fixer is awesome, use that ammo for free then return it all to hand for another run.
Unity: get your equip back, Fixer is great for loaning you equipment to turn into golems and Hasty Augmentation is amazing with Fixer.
Almost every hero has something awesome they do with Fixer, he is definitely more of a veteran player hero in that you need to know what combos you can do with the heroes, villain and environment decks in the game.
