I apologize if this was already discussed, but I couldn't find anything similar with the Search tool

So I was reading through http://www.spiffworld.com/sotm/files/sotm_rules_and_clarifications.pdf and I noticed a note about the Operative: since she misses the Villain keyword, she is not a Villain Character, just a Character

Now, does this change how various effects interact with her? I'm thinking chiefly about Legacy's Lead from the Front, which allows redirection from a "Villain card"... can he tank damage from the Operative?

There's also various Environment and Hero cards that specifically call out to Villain targets; is hte Operative eligible for those?

I was under the impression that any card coming with/from a Villain deck was to be considerd a Villain card by default, and that's also how I always played the Operative (and all cards in any Villain deck, since they are not thusly keyworded)

She is a villain card and a charactet card, but she is not a villain character card.

Do you have in mind any example of what interactions are affected by this?

Pydro is correct.

She is a card from a villain deck, so she is a villain card.

She has a different back than the rest of the deck, so she is a Character Card.

She does not have the Keyword Villain, so she is not a Villain Character Card.

What things affect "Villain Character" cards?

The number one reason for Operative to be like she is is the win condition and cards like Cedistic Dissonant and End of days.

"Unless otherwise stated when a villain character card is destroyed the heroes win the game."

Having Operative not a Villain Character saves having to state otherwise.

Having her a character makes her immune to End of Days and Cedistic Dissonant, both of which cannot destroy character cards.
