One of the things I really like about the SotM: VG is that it keeps track of things that I never would've thought to do if I was sitting down to play the card game.  I thought I'd make this post for things that caught people by surprise with how they played out in the video game as compared to the card game.  Maybe I'm the only one, but I have three right off the bat:

1)  I used Haka of Battle to increase Haka's next damage by a large amount, but then absentmindedly attacked a flipped Citizen Dawn.  On Haka's next turn, I attacked a citizen and whomped them for a huge amount of damage.  Since I hadn't actually dealt damage to Dawn, the damage to the citizen was my "next damage".  In real life I probably would've played it as increasing the damage of Haka's "next attack", though seeing it now I know that makes no sense.

2)  Fanatic was at 1 HP with Aegis of Resurrection and Sacrosanct Martyr in play.  I was able to deal myself 5 radiant damage with Sacrosanct Martyr, resurrect to 10 HP, and then deal 5 damage to the enemy.  In real life I probably would've played that I could only deal myself 1 HP, although I know in the back of my mind that someone can go to negative HP.

3)  Against Omnitron in Wagner Mars Base.  Self-Destruct Sequence and one other card were in play when Omnitron played Terraforming.  When the AI gave me a choice for order of destruction for the Environment cards it was showing three cards.  I actually took a screen shot to report it before I realized that the third card was UNDER Self-Destruct Sequence.  I forget what I did, but I assume if I destroyed Self-Destruct Sequence first the card under it would go to the trash and Omnitron would only play two cards.  I guess if I was feeling up for a challenge I could've destroyed the card under SDS first and then SDS and the other card so Omnitron would play three cards.  I definitely wouldn't have thought that the card under SDS counted.

I seem to remember a charged Omni-cannon getting destroyed and then being replayed with Decommissioned Hardware. It still had all the cards under it, and I would have assumed they'd be destroyed - but the card says nothing about destroying them.

Try destroying the card under before destroying the Self-Destruct Sequence.

It leads to some interesting fireworks...

That was covered in a question in the FAQ.  The cards under a destroyed Omni-cannon go back to where they came from and are not repositioned under Omni-cannon if it's put back into play.  That sounds like a bug.

That sounds like an omitted game rule to me. Wouldn't make sense for a card to be in limbo for no reason.

That's a bug that was in 1.0. It's fixed in the version currently available.

Destroying some cards under SDS would lead to a greater challenge.  Destroying all of them leads to an instant game over, as it triggers the SDS!

I had an interesting one yesterday that I never would've thought of:

Atlantean Font of Power played the top card of Visionary's deck and it was Wrest the Mind with no viable targets in play, so it was discarded and played another card from the top.  I know Atlantean Font says to repeat the process if the revealed card is a limited card that is already in play, but in this case that wasn't the issue.

If that did happen, it's a bug. We'll look into it.
