Multiple Redirects?

In a recent rules discussion an acquaintance made the claim that any given card can only redirect a specific packet of damage once. Last I saw, (compiled in Spiff's FAQ), that was not the case: https://greaterthangames.com/forum/topic/rules-answers-from-chris-at-pax-4082 . Did this change at some point when I wasn't paying attention (it was over a year ago)?

As far as I know it's still the same that was confirmed a year ago, though it is entirely possible it's a change that Christopher (or another >G designer) has yet to announce.

I used to think that way and had somehow convinced myself that the one redirect per card per dealing of damage was actually a rule, or at least a really useful heuristic, but it has since been ruled differently, as noted in Spiff's FAQ.
