When a hero becomes incapacitated, do all of their cards and all cards that were on them leave play?
Some specifics:
Chrono-Ranger's Bounties, AZ's Impale, or Vis' Twist the Ether. This seems like an obvious discards according to the core rules. They may not be in front of that hero, but they are still one of their cards.
However, what about hero cards that are under other cards (e.g. La Capitan or Savage Mana)? Are those removed from play as well?
And here's the one that confused us today: if Isolated Hero was on the hero that becomes incapacitated, is it discarded? The general consensus in the forum seems to be that Isolated Hero can affect Incapcitated abilities, but as an incapactiated hero isn't a valid target anymore, would a villain card like that be discarded when the Hero character card flips?

All of a hero’s cards, regardless of where they are, leave play when the hero is incapped. Cards played on a hero only leave play if the card specifically says “when the target leaves play, destroy this card.”
As an example, Infections do not have that phrase, therefore they are not destroyed when a hero is incapped.

Another useful general ruling is "Cards underneath other cards do not have any txt or HP, but they *DO* have their backs. So, cards belonging to a Hero still belong to that Hero.
One interesting wrinkle to this is that anything that destroys Environment cards (especially ones that destroy "all" Env cards) can/must target Environment cards that have ended up under Haka's Savage Mana. Similarly, Tempest's Into The Stratosphere can pick any "underneath" cards and put them on top of the correct deck.

Another thing that can be done is the Freedom Six version of Tempest can use his base power to destroy cards that La Capitan has stolen, because they're still his cards even if he doesn't have them on him atm :).

I don't think any cards are destroyed when a hero is incapacitated. Anything from that hero's deck is removed from the game. Destroyed connotes a card removed from play and placed in the hero's trash.

That's an interesting mechanic. I guess ultimately it wouldn't matter too much, since if it fails to infect a hero, you move on to what Rat's next card would be. So it's useless if there isn't an active hero to infect.

Not true. Afflicted Frenzy still goes off from the inactive hero. Which is nasty.

If the hero is already incapped when the Infection is played then they can't be Infected, but if they're already Infected and then get incapped, then the Infectin sticks around until someone mangages to destroy it. This matters for Afflicted Frenzy, as PWatson just said, but also still counts toward Rat's flip mechanic.

I'd take a set of zombie hero promo cards.

That sounds like something fun. Maybe they all have innate powers that work with the trash?

Would they then have the Zombie keyword and thus get to totally mess with Gloomweaver, getting advantages from the Pouch and Strength of the Grave? :D

Gloomy incap zombie hero alternates.
I love it.
If only Gloomweaver incapped heroes when the match was still up in the air reliably.

Why don't you like the idea? Oversaturation of zombie fandom?
