Do the Sentinels each count for a hero toward the "H" count, or do they collectively still count as one? It wouldn't make sense to scale the villians that much despite having four playable hero character cards, but I just wanted to clarify.

Thanks!

The Sentinels combined equal 1 in terms of (H).So if you play with Legacy, The Sentinels, and Haka, (H) would equal 3.

The Sentinels are one hero, with four character cards.

They do count as four hero targets, though. If something hits all hero targets, they all get hit. If something hits all heroes, only one of them will (your choice). If they didn't count as a single hero then stuff like Plague Rat's flip mechanic would be messed up (because he'd never be able to Infect everyone).

Do we have official confirmation of this anywhere? I was looking for it the other day and couldn't find it.

The Vengeance rulebook slightly touches on it, but doesn't put it as neatly as Ameena did.

Oh my gosh I've been playing them wrong the whole time. That makes some things way easier now.

Ok so what if something hits the two lowest heroes and they are all lower then any other hero. Do two of them get hit or one of them and the next lowest hero outside of the Sentinels?

If it says heroes, it would be the lowest Sentinel and another hero.

If it says lowest hero targets, it hits the Sentinels.

I'm blanking on any card that hits multiple lowest heroes rather than hero targets. Or the highest for that matter. Which cards are you thinking of?

Well I don’t have a card in mind it was more of a hypothetical question.

Whenever a card affects a hero's hand or trash, the card refers to "a hero." Since The Sentinels isn't the first deck to deal with multiple targets (Unity's droids, Expatriette's flak jacket, Visionary's projection), I believe there has been no problem with affecting an entire hero's board as far as taking damage. It's always been referred to as hero targets.

So yeah, I fully understand what a hero TARGET is. I just wasn't sure if each Sentinel in that deck counts toward "H," since they can each be incapacitated, each have a power, etc.

They are only incapacitated when their instruction card is flipped.  All of the Sentinels have flip side artwork, but those are not incap sides because there are no incap abilities on them.  All four have to be flipped, then their character card flips that has the incap abilities, then the Sentinels are incapped.

The back of each individual member of The Sentinels are incapacitated sides, it even so says on the back of the card. The rulebook also says that the setup card expains what happens when all 4 members of the The Sentinels are incapped. So each member of The Sentinels have an incap side, but The Sentinels are not incapped until all 4 are incapped.

Yeah, so collectively since all four must be incapped to be "gone for good," it makes even more sense to treat them as a singular "hero." Unlike the others, they can be revived by the other remaining Sentinels.

Sorry, yeah it is there.

The Sentinels just love to make everything complicated.

Kinda wish they had a different group name, too. Sentinels to me could also refer to the heroes across all expansions.
