I once had a team almost wipe due to Fixed Point shenanigans. It was vs. Baron Blade. Setback had just Risked Silver Lining, thankfully, and could get the last hit on the Baron. Everyone else died when we were required to destroy Ongoings or take damage. Dang you, fixed point! *shakes fist* Cheaters never win....

How did Fixed Point kill you in that instance? If it was still out when Devious Disruption entered play (which I gather from context is what happened), it wouldn't matter what you did - no-one would be dying right there and then because of Fixed Point. If you'd not destroyed any of your stuff (or even if you had) and the resultant damage took you into negative hp, then you'd be in negative hp. If you were still there when Fixed Point went away, then you'd be incapped. But until that point, you'd've had the rest of the round in which to nuke Blade before Fixed Point went away at the start of the environment turn.

If I figure the situation correctly, there was damage which took everyone into negative HP, but Silver Lining healed Setback and stayed in play, and then there was more damage which definitely killed everyone but Silver Lining went off again.

Well, I mis-ran that turn, I guess. They would have lived long enough to kill Baron Blade, but he likewise wouldn't be destroyed. Then everyone except Setback would have died on the Environment turn start.

So you'd still have won even if Setback had gone down because you'd be able to decide the order in which everyone became incapped (destroyed in Blade's case) and had Blade die before any heroes :D.

Setback had to live so he could deal the last damage to Baron Blade. Otherwise, the Baron would have won.

Only if Baron Blade had more than zero hp left by the start of the environment turn - if he was at zero or in minus figures by then, you could just have him die before Setback when Fixed Point went away, like like you could have him get nuked first if the volcano was gonna kill everyone in Insula Primalis or something :).

I'm lost as to how Fixed Point shenanigans with Setback got into this thread. It would make some sense if Parse helped some part of that but I don't see her mentioned.
Edit: apparently I got a mods attention and this was separated out.

The op mentioned that silver liningsWent off twice. The second time would restore him to 0 hp because Fixed point doesn’t make tokens indestructible, so after the first time it went off it would have 0 tokens to remove, restoring you from negative hp to 0

Silver Lining only went off once, saving Setback from death that one time. Then Setback defeated Baron Blade.
