Flipping station cards

After completing the actions on any cards in play with [AFTERMATH] icons, each unengaged Opposition ship flips one of the station cards in that sector and puts it into play, Opposition side up.

How do you determine which station card gets flipped?  Is it the farthest left, or farthest right, or can the players choose?

I believe it is the left most station card that gets flipped.
