Citizen Slash's partner

Idle speculation alert =D.

I've just been wondering since Vengance came out.    Presumeably, Citizen Slash has a partner,  because they all do, and they all make puns. So first off,   where is s/he?  Not joining Baron Blade, apparently.   Still with Citizen Dawn?  Dead?   Is Citizen Slash "on loan" to BB or what?

So anyway,  the real thing that's been bugging me is this:   Would the partner be Citizen Hack or Citizen Burn?    Becasue both would work.    Citizen Hack would definitely go with the "Blade"  thing, as does Citizen Slash.  OtoH,  Citizen Burn would go with a prevading "Fire" theme in many of Citizen Dawn's cards, including Hammer, Summer, and of course Dawn herself.  

Could it be a trio?  Hack & Slash & Burn?   We've seen small teams before,  such as Team Seasons,  but Team Seasons' names work with each other,  where as Hack & Slash & Burn combines two different phrases.

  Seriously >G,  how can you come out with half of a pun?  That's just cruel.

Citizen Fiction. Cousin to Citizen Ship.

That made me giggle.

I had assumed a Citizen Burn, not even thinking of a Citizen Hack. I don't like that as a name, as it makes me think of fake doctors. Now, of course, I imagine all of the Citizens holding day jobs, and the whole thing just falls apart into hilarity.

Citizen Hack makes all the heroes think they have more HP than they do, and have various immunities and buffs that they don't.

He's nasty.

Tragically, Citizen Slash's true passion used to be pediatrics, but it just doesn't work well with all the stabbing and the screaming.

Citizen Prices, they were in charge of funding for the citizens. Unfortunately for poor Prices, Dawn took "50% off" a bit too literally.

He's actually part of a foursome:  Citizen HTTP, Citizen Colon, and his own identical twin.  Tragically, the twin passed through a Klein bottle and came back reversed, so now when they try to work together they can never go anywhere.

Citizen Back, perhaps?   A bit of a stretch.

Slash & Ship is a thing?   I don't get it.    Is it not American?  =p.

Slash fiction is fanfiction where two canon characters are involved in a relationship. The last syllable of that last word is where the "shipping" part comes from - if fans of something "ship" two characters, it means they're writing fanfics in which those two characters get together even though they didn't in the actual canon storyline. So it's "Character A/Character B" - the slash in the middle is why it's called "slash".

I don't read facfiction but I do spend quite a bit of time on TV Tropes ;).

"Shipping" (from "relationship") is about imagining fictional characters becoming romantically involved in ways that they aren't in the work itself (at least not at the time that you ship them; sometimes the author is way ahead of you, but other times s/he would think you're seriously wrong in the head for even suggesting such a pairing).  "Slash fiction" is the next step - erotic or semi-erotic fan-fiction based around such "unauthorized" couples (most frequently homosexual; it's not that a story about a boy and a girl isn't slash, just that if you say slash and don't explain any further, it will usually be taken as implying Kirk/Spock or the like.  That's where the name comes from, incidentally - Kirk-Slash-Spock stories, meaning stories in which Spock decides that Kirk is, and always has been, more than just his friend, or vice versa.  Other couplings quickly followed but that was pretty much THE trope definer.)

Well I knew about slash fiction,   "shipping" is a new one to me.  Regardless,  I'm not as impressed if it does not work well with a conjuction (usually "and")  in between.    'Slash and Fiction' for example,  sounds too contrived.  Need to follow the in the tradition of Hammer & Anvil and Assault & Battery.    

So,  IMHO,  Hack & Slash  /  Slash & Burn sound the best.

Someone posted that shipping villain, which I thought was hilarious- although disturbing.

If Slash was female, then I would say it was Hack & Slash, and a reference to Tigerheart (which is an excellent book, btw, which everyone should read).  But he's not.

I could see Hack, slash and Burn or Slash with either of the other 2.

I figured Slash's partner was Expatriette's father. Hence his absence.

I'm holding out for Citizen Backslash.

I totally want a cyborg Citizen Hack that has powers over equipment who's modeled after Hack and Slash from ReBoot.

Slash is not with the Citizens of the sun while he's running atound with Blade, and while Dawn could have sent him, he could be in with Expat's suprisingly not dead Dad, and the bring you back isn't referring to Dawn, but to her Dad.

I think it is more likely that Dawn wants Expat because she's better at taking out Supers than Dawns group is.

I wonder what Expat's Citizen name would be should she go down that path?

She could form the most feared citizen duo of all time and go by Citizen Death, with her partner, Citizen Taxes.

Or pair up with an evil plant controlling Citizen and be Citizen Guns and Citizen Roses.

Or team up with someone who loves taking all the cool stuff off their vanquished enemies after she's shot them all - Citizen Loot :).

Trio team with Citizen Lawyer and Citizen Money.

Citizen Germs and Citizen Steel would be a good set for her as well, if she went by Citizen Guns

We now seem to have a picture of Slash's partner from the kickstarter. Looks like he has giant blades for his hands so Citizen Hack seems to be it
