Theory on Con's Identity

My apologies if this theory is old news. While hardly new to the game, i've only recently discovered this very fun board to discuss game universe theories. I did a couple of searches and didn't find this particular theory anywhere.

My idea is that Con from the Final Wasteland is the Time-Crazed Prisoner from the Block.

I have read that Con is someone who definitely has appeared elsewhere in the game. The markings on Con's bunker bear (in my opinion) similarities to the diagram on the prisoner's wall. We are are fairly certain the prisoner has done some sort of time travel or at the very least has knowledge of the future (or possible futures). His bleak nature could certainly fit with someone who has seen the future of the Final Wasteland. The name "Con" works with him having been a convict in the past.

If the TCP has seen the future he may very well have built the bunker and stored his mind inside of it's computers as a way to survive the apocalypse (my preferred theory).

Alternately, he could be a conciousness from that future that has somehow come back into the past to inhabit a body in the present (or wherever in time he was arrested from). Perhaps he is "unstuck in time" also Slaughterhouse Five and doesn't move through time in the same fashion as others. 

At any rate, I hope this is a new discussion. If not, I apologize for re-treading well-worn ground, it seems like someone else must have picked up on this before me. Just something that popped into my head. 

Well, I remember Christopher telling us that Con and Haka go wayyy back. Whatever that means. As far as I know that is the only clue we’ve pried out of him. My personal theory ( that I stole from someone but can’t remember who, maybe foote or ameena):

I agree that Unity is a likely candidate, but I keep coming back the idea that CON is a gestalt of multiple people. 'Concordant Harmony Entity' implies (to me at least) multiple beings merged into one entity that are acting in snyc (or concordance). My bet is that Unity is one of them based on the way that CON talks to Jim in his bio. I also think that Argent Adept, or at least another Virtuoso of the Void, is part of the gestalt as well based on 'harmony' being part of CON's full name. I think there are two more beings part of the gestalt based on nothing more than CON refers to itself as 'version 4' but have no idea whom they might be. That last specualation admittingly feels like a stab in the dark, but I'm pretty convinced about the other two guesses.

CON very much sounds like Unity when he/she/it speaks. 

My money is on Golem Unity. 

What about omnitron? He may have the mechanical knowledge to make that work along with unity’s technopath ability. But how do this fit with what Christopher said?

Argent Adept is involved. "Concordant harmony" is a term used in music, but it doesn't just apply to music. Two forces, typically waveforms, that reinforce each other.

I have not heard the "multiple personality" angle, but I like the idea of it a lot.

I didn't suggest the "Con = Tumbleweed" thing, but I think I recall suggesting that Con is Mr Fixer combined with Golem Unity in some way...I think.

That one was mine.  I get all the points which it turns out to be totally true.

I apologize to Ameena, foote and Spiff. Spiff gets the credit for that theory (which I am a huge fan of). 

There will be enough points to go around once the theory is proven completely true.

I'm a big fan of the recently put forth theory that Con is Bunker.  (I'm sorry I don't remember who suggested it.)  The basis for this theory is that there is a card called "Con's Bunker" which could actually mean "Con is Bunker".  It doesn't get any simpler than that

I did.  I also pointed out that it and The Unity theory weren't muatally exclusive.  None of the theories at this point are mutually exclusive.  The Concordant Harmony bit by Impriss5 does however lend creadance to the idea that they all might be right at the same time.

My bet is on "Unitron".

Unity, before dying, reprograms her personality and combine it with Omnitron-X's, perfecting the understanding Omnitron has of humanity. After the destruction of humanity by the Rats,leading to the Wasteland, Unitron abandons its humanoid body and recreates itself as a building - like he was when he was Omnitron-I. And begins to wait for the time traveling ranger he met in the past...

Their goal ? If the past can't be changed, the future may - Unitron has the building power, Haka protects human knowledge, they don't need much to recreate humanity if they can clean up Earth a little.

That's awesome. I like this a lot  omnitron unity is a brilliant pairing. 

I still want to see a sitcom where Golem Unity and Omnitron share an apartment. Also, the term "Unitron" makes me imagine Con becoming a large planet eating entity that will be the final foe of the last expansion.

I like it, only I'd move Con and Omnitron-X into different timelines and have the merger to form Con be a desperate gamble by the heroes, in a future where Omnitron has gotten powerful enough that they can't stop it Golem Unity merges with Omnitron to stop him.

Perhaps as a trick where Omnitron attempts to absorb Golem Unity.

Just a thought, but what if "Con" is the "conciousness" of all the freedom 5/6 that Unity built as golems and now they exist as one?  Maybe after all of the original heroes have fallen, their conciousness exist in their golems...

In accordance to this hypothesis, check the incap side from Termi-nation Bunker. To me, it shows like Omnitron is checking out a part of the Bunker suit. It could imply something?

The incap of Termi-Bunker is weird to me for a number of reasons. Not the least of which is that it implies Omnitron IV is still in the picture at this late point in the story, and that there doesn't seem to be any incorporation of that technology in the future version V iteration. So maybe there is a story about IV and this picture that isn't depicted or hinted at anywhere in game. 

There will 100% be an Omnitron-X promo that comes out with the next and final expansion (since he doesn't have one yet). I'd wager that the promo will tie into this incap art in some way.

I'm not fully sure how long after Vengeance we see Omnitron IV as the environment cards don't list comic issues.   In the game Choke who becomes Chokepoint was in Vengeance along with OmniBlade (Omnitron III) and both were badly hurt from that event.    It's plausible to me that Omnitron IV wasn't fully formed as a robotics factory until during or after Chokepoint appears.  

Can it be that Omnitron-V has the modularity it does because of Termi-Nation Bunker?

Isn't V trying to reassemble itself? Couldn't there be parts of Omnitron out there that do have Bunker pieces incorporated into them that V has just not found yet?

It's possible, but I thought the implication in the Tactics OmnitronV scenario was that he required all of his previous self to complete the OmniReaper. But you know, comics.
