More Setback / Spiderman shoutouts

Since it's been well noted so far that Setback's deck is brimming with Spiderman references, It just occured to me that High Risk Behavior is no different. I think it is a nod to the original Sinister Six.

Mirror Girl/Man = Mysterio

Bird Guy = Vulture

Lava Guy = Sandman

Static Shock = Electro

Ambuscade = Kraven the Hunter

Raichu = Doc Oct. (Yeah, this one is by far the biggest stretch. I wanted to say he seems more of a nod to the Lizard, but I dont think he was ever a part of the Sinister Six which would ruin this fun little thought)

It seems to me that Ambuscade put the team together, but toward what ends I'm not sure. But with only two more expansions, I'm having slight difficulty trying to imagine where they all would fit in individually. Could there be any chance that this Sinister Six nod could end up being a Vengence style senario? They could be a part of an environment. I could imagine them being in a RevoCorp deck for instance as henchmen for Revenant. They could be targets in another villains deck as well, but in both cases the idea of Ambuscade ever being a minor target in a deck just doesn't sit well with me on a thematic issue. Maybe Ambuscade will be separated from them wherever they show up in the game, but connected through the overall narrative.

In either case, I want a Venom-Writhe deck.

The Sinister Six that I remember did not have Kraven or Doc Ock in it.  I believe it was Scorpion, Mysterio, Shocker, Chameleon, maybe Rhino, and I forget who the sixth was.  It was probably the 1990s or 80s Spider-Man cartoon; I only ever read isolated issues of the comics.

I would definitely like to see another Vengeance-style multi-villain set.  Preferably as individual mini-expansion decks that can be played either separately or together.

Going through references online, here's the line-ups of the Sinister Six I could find:

This would appear to be what I was thinking of, though it did have Doc Ock in it, and was apparently actually called the "Insidious" Six, and I would have thought I'd notice that difference.  Then again, "Sinister" gets said so much more often it must just have sort of absorbed the earlier memory.

Nothings set in stone, but I got the impression from Adam that there wont be another Vengeance style setup. This is the only one, baring promo versions. Sad,  but I think that its so radically out there they dont want to concentrate much on it.

I don't know. I think that having more Vengeance-style villains will make playing Vengeance much more enjoyable. It would allow us to have more options and play it in ways we can't right now. If there were some 1 difficulty, it would give folks the opportunity to get more experience with the style of play. I think there's just a lot of potential in it.

It's definitely not for everyone (or everywhen, as those games are generally longer than average), but I think it would make it more feasible for folks to enjoy it.

So would I, I'm pretty sure some will be fan created if none ever make it in the official, cause they might end up kind of nightmarish to playtest as each deck multiplies combinations vastly.

I don't think it would be that hard, I mean look at hero testing at this point.
