I went to BGG Con hoping to see the new Sentinels Tactics game there. I talked with a guy (his name started with "N" and was non-standard like Nich or something) on the last day and picked up a copy of Schlock Mercenary: Capital Offensive since the combat system is similar. He said there was a Beta Team sign up on the >G site. I've poked around but haven't found it yet. I love what I've seen so far and I'm eager to give the system a try. I've done game testing before and know how to provide clear, constructive feedback. Can anyone point me in the proper direction?

Hmm. Playtesters will be giving it the works at some point in the future. But it's not out for us yet, and I'm not sure if >G is going to be adding new playtesters at this time.

Thanks for the heads up. I'd like to officially toss my hat into the ring regardless.
Best,

Are they going to kickstarter it? If so there might be an option to playtest from that.
I was really hoping that would happen, I missed the days when playtesting was on kickstarter, and playing 2-3 hours of Sentinels a day is something I am willing to do (and frequently accomplish).

Yes, yes they are. From my understand, their plan is to do a kickstarter for each new game that comes out, so they can figure about how many people are interested in it. While expansions they will cover with their profits.

I'd be interested to hear from someone official if playtesting status will be available some time soon-ish, since my awesome boyfriend has offered to pay for it for me (as a belated birthday present) as soon as it is.

i know in the past others have gotten playtesting status when it wasnt offered, but those may have been limited time things. at the very least theyll tell you when its next open

When the Paul and Christopher were over in the UK I accidentally refered to Paul as a designer of Sentinels, he quickly corrected me by pointing out he was the business/operations manager (I forget which, but it was clear he wanted to separate himself from those dirty dirty creative types
).

Yeah, some people sit around playing card games in their head, some sit around drawing little pictures, while others have to run a company.
On all counts it is awesome when the right people come together and it turns out something like Sentinels.
Mostly, I want to be clear to not take credit for what has been primarilly the creative brainchild of Christopher and Adam. I certainly contribute, but it is not to the degree that those two do. I've had a bit more of a hand in the lore part of GSF, which has been fun.
One of the Three?
I've got dibs on Vilya.
