The Chairman outside of Rook City

I'm confused by battles involving the Chairman outside of Rook City.  I mean, a big chunk of his power comes from having infiltrated almost every level of Rook City's infrastructure...

So, what happens when you fight him in Insula Primalis?  I picture a bunch of mobsters in a jungle, gawking around.  "Ah... boss?  'Zat a dinosaur?"

The Final Wasteland is similarly hilarious.  Realm of Discord?  Silver Gulch?  Imagining the Chairman's thugs standing around dumfounded in these places is comedy gold.

Imagine Spite in the Final Wasteland. "I thought people were gone at this point. Why are there so many lost children and innocent bystanders?"

I loved Voss in realm of discord.  I mean wouldn't you just let him have it?

Usually for those kinda game I really have to go outside the box. 

Chairman in insula? I always picture the heros fighting a guerrilla warfare type thing trying to reach the chairman who's trying to find an ancient Egyptian artifact for himself. 

Spite in the wasteland? Same scenario but you just gotta imagine there's more trees and his hostages are molemem/molewomen. 

Spite's out there confused, thought it was the final wasted land, starts eating death worm poop.

Whatever time portal took Spite to the Final Wasteland might also have taken a bunch of civilian refugees.  So, the civilians are huddled in their post-apocalyptic shanty town, and now they're getting hunted by Spite.

To me, nothing will ever beat having Akash'Bhuta on Mars.  The creator of the Earth is... branching out.

The Matriarch in Atlantis or on Mars. Just picture all those crows wearing little scuba suits or space suits.

Kismet in the Final Wasteland

"Wow, so this is what happens when you get 'lucky' with flame retardant, coat it over a nuke, and drop it in a volcano. It blows up in the earth's core. So many inconceivable obstructions! This is AWESOME! I should have done this years ago."

That's hilarious.

You always have the 'shattered timelines' argument, where things are just a bit off. Rook city is being (constantly) rebuilt on Atlati'ss ruins, or it has been 'abducted' ala Macross to some place else, etc. It's just a matter of creative license.

Btw, Chairman in Insual Primalis? That sounds... (no sunglasses) like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs! Now I gotta try that. Expat, Unity... dunno, Zero? We need a Dinosaur based hero (besides Unity). Fixer to maintain the cards too. Bunker also kinda fits.

I imagined things as noted by others, but also situations where entire sections of the world were moved / transported to another realm by some powerful force / accident. You know, the kind of stuff that happens all the time in comics.

For the Chairman, he might have taken his underbosses and thugs after their defeat in Rook City and run off to another place, preparing for his revenge, when the heroes learn of his schemes and hunt him down.

Have to agree on the "comedy gold", though.

I think Chairman in the Block makes some sense. I imagine the battle is the Chairman's elaborate attempt to break out of prison.

Spite is another character who doesn't make sense in most environments. If you fight him at Insula Primalis, is he killing cavemen? How many innocent bystanders wandered into the Tomb of Anubis? What is he even doing in Atlantis?

Insula Primalis or The Ruins? Obviously a plane crashed/boat sunk and Spite is there to pick off the survivors, right out from under the heroes' noses...

At this point, I would be remiss not to reflect on the past.

We redid the Block once, to represent that the Chairman had taken it over, we redid guards to attack heroes or inmates, and inmates were on the heroes side.  Basically the Heroes show up at the block to interrogate or drop off a prisoner or something, and once inside are captured and find out what has happened, then have to break out of the block.

Awesome!  I love tweaking flavor like that.

For WTF I think it's hard to top Omnitron in Silver Gulch 1853.  I can just see a new generation of Luddites forming.

Omnitron in the Ruins of Atlantis is also pretty popular with our group.
