Someone tell me why

Tempest is holding a sword on AAs Silver Shadow card. Doesn't that seem out of place? Hint at another promo Tempest? Confused. 

Because he took sword lessons from Fanatic. Sadly that isn't the only thing he picked up from her, as he now has a habit of trying to kill himself on the battle field. This is reflected by Localized Hurricane, as it gives him extra damage to himself. Though he has not perfected the method yet, he does ok at it.

I do think/hope that, with a future set when we see the fully-realized Prime Wardens team, we'll get another alternate for Tempest that represents him in that mode. Should be fun.

I personally would like the original Tachyon costume, possibly a power called Snacking? Maybe it will be Tachyon regains 1 HP?

The power should be "ultra high metabolism" discard a card and regain 3 HP. 

I liked someone else's suggestion of her having the Snack Attack power: take a burst card from your trash and place it on the bottom of your deck, then regain 2 HP.

That's super mean.  Discarding for HP helps her instead of crippling her - and it's not like Tachyon is so overpowered she needs to be taken down a notch in alternates.
