Brand new Editor's Note! Here's the place to discuss it!

I've only just started listening, but I'm excited for one particular point of discussion. If "The Entertainer" means what I suspect it might, then for the first time, one of my questions got a section designated all to itself!

When I saw that name on the list, my first thought ended up being the reference Adam made. I was so happy :D

This was surprisingly both dark and contentious as Editor's Notes go. Lots of tangents and discussion between C&A. But I am happy to be a part of Adam's comatose fever dream.

(ok so I forgot The Entertainer was a person who exists, so it definitely wasn't who I was thinking of. Oh well, I wasn't expecting to anyway)

I kept thinking that Shear Force was such a ridiculous idea that it was pointless to imagine all these shows and toys being based on them, then they reminded me that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a real thing that happened.

Now I'm waiting for the episode about the live action Shear Force movies by J.J. Abrams.

Listening to the Shear Force / Kudzu expansion discussion, it seemed to me like the solution was actually obvious.

A Shear Force expansion would be a team-style Nemesis deck. Each Kudzu villain deck is a different key Kudzu member, and Thorn's deck gives him protection based on the other team villain decks that are still alive. That way, the Kudzu villains you fight shifts around from 'episode' to 'episode', and different Shear Force members take the spotlight.

Herr Loosestrife would flip from one side to the other like a normal villain and be removed from play when at 0hp
his 2 sides would be “attacking in his battle tank” and “refit and repair”
he would put tank components into play ( main gun, secondary gun, treads, armor) that would be indestructible targets that get flipped upside down when at 0hp
except for his side arm one shots and Kudzu minions none of his cards would do damage in R/R mode and his big attack one shots would go under his card to be top decked when he flips to Tank mode
he flips to tank mode based on how many components have over x+(V)HP (V)= number of active villain decks (if he has 4 allies in the field he waits until everything is perfect, if he is last man standing he fights as soon as the tank can move)
he flips to R/R mode when components are face down
in R/R mode he turns components face up and starts healing components, first attack each round against him in R/R mode redirected to Villain with most HP, (he is at base not in the field)
Treads protect him from environment and deal damage to every target in the hero play area with most targets- main gun shoots Legacy then he runs over Unity and her bots
He should feel like fighting against the Bunker hero deck

my head cannon is that one of the “they put more effort than they needed to” aspects of the cartoon was continuity with Herr Loosestrife, if in the last fight Sheer Force blew the treads of his tank than the next time we see him he can not join the fight because he is fixing the treads, If in the episode in the middle of the Atlantic ocean Kudzu’s aquatic specialist mocked him for being useless next episode has him all “Achilles sulking in his tent” putting flotation pods on his tank and telling everyone he is to busy to help fight Sheer Force
Of course the story reason was because the writers did not want every fight on flat open ground to be “how do we stop the tank” but they did it with character and continuity

I could see as many as nine players being involved in an OblivAeon game, because there are so many static and triggered events to keep track of. You have your five heroes, one person who only keeps track of OblivAeon, one player handling each environment, and one more facilitator who keeps the other three “GMs” in mind, pays attention to which heroes are in which battle zones, and maybe helps OblivAeon keep on top of the Inevitable Destruction tokens.

Wager Master has dissascociative identity disorder. Which probably only works because he’s Chaos and Order was destroyed.

Is it a bad idea, or is it a bad thing to be doing?

I like the name Aegyptus, but I like Duat more.

We had five players with each responsible for a different facet of the villain/environment. I don’t remember the specifics, unfortunately, but I felt like it worked pretty well.
