I think I can get behind being the "official scientist of the meta-meta-verse of Sentinel Comics".
Congrats on the promotion. :D
I laughed so hard at "You put the 'can't' in 'incantation'."
And then I got to thinking... What if Christopher meant 'cant'? You honestly kind of need some kind of cant to incant something, don't you? Maybe Adam actually did it right!
Either way, put a pin in this one for next year's Trevor award. :)
They mention Cheap Ass games / James Ernest new Kick starter but did not go into detailes. GtG actually bought Cheap Ass some time ago right?
I know I backed a game from Nevermore games and at the very end GtG delivered my game and fulfiled my missing product.
There hasn’t been any official announcement of the a final merger I can find. Closest I can find is this post from August https://greaterthangames.com/comment/194675#comment-194675. GtG has helped other companies with distribution so that could’ve been related to that not that they actually had bought them.
The Cheapass Games Kickstarter's first update post mentions it.
Well, a "partnership" at least, if not a merger in particular.

> >Greater Than Games Partnership
> >We're thrilled to announce our new partnership with Greater Than Games of St. Louis, MO. You might know Greater Than Games from hits like Sentinels of the Multiverse and Spirit Island. Partnering with Greater Than Games will free James from the business and logistical obligations of game publishing, and allow him to focus on completing Cheapass Games in Black and White, design more games, and maybe one day even spend some time on a beach.
> >This also means that Greater Than Games will be handling the printing and fulfillment of the Kickstarter, so don't be surprised to see some of their crew pop in to answer questions!

Still leaves me uncertain when it officially started. Also weird that KS is where they have the official announement.
I want a definitive edition Omega werewolf heroine variant card, “Isoflux Alpha”.
More seriously, though Earth scientists can’t work out how reliably IFA creates Omegas, we know that Thorathians are more advanced. It’d be neat to have a group of extremist Rebels who want to collect Earth water with IFA in it and tactically apply it to themselves to gain custom tailored superpowers, but only one power apiece (and they turn a third color that’s neither blue-gray nor pink-red, probably like purple-white). Thusly, they effectively become a fourth faction in the Dok’Thorath civil war, fighting against both the military hegemony which wants to restore the supremacy of powered red Thorathians, the superpowerless Voss loyalists corralling the remaining Gene-Bound, and the friendly rebels that want to open DT to aliens and not be supremacists anymore. This new group of “postThorathians” wants all the aliens, Gene-Bound, and Reds off the planet, leaving only Purples and Blues who want to become Purples. (All this is born out of the simple thought, “they’ve come for our mud!”)
Daughter of Proletariat character concept confirmed.
Doctor Medico’s child should be named Bud.
I love the idea of a villain whose big evil plan is to make irresistibly adorable pets that kind of enslave people via their cuteness (aka cats). The Magmarians don’t really work for this, sadly.
One of the first character concepts I dreamed up when I started getting back into SOTM this year, it was the idea of a character who studies video footage of heroes and villains casting spells, and then suddenly unlocks an understanding of how you do it.
If a spell costs lifeforce, a computer can’t just spend electricity, that’d be like a human spending air from their lungs. The computer would have to, like, melt part of its own hard drive; it might have self-repair systems that can unslag the destroyed chips, but they’d have to at least temporarily suffer a “wound”.
I figure that Gene-binding is a process of manipulating chemical impulse triggers; if done to a human, it would make like this steroidal caveman who feels as if other Voss forces are his tribe, and gets super xenophobic towards every other entity. Not all of the GB would be primitive versions, but a lot would.
