They read my Space Dad question! XD I'd totally forgotten about that one!

For an Editor's Note, this episode was supremely hilarious. They really did not know what they were getting into, I think. :3

That was a great question; "Just how much of a Space Dad is Hugh Lowsley?" had me in hysterics.

This is one ep where I recommend watching the vid when the timer finishes counting down to it being public, as their facial expressions were often hilarious on top of it all. Stuff like Christopher actually doing a hair toss when talking about what pretty boys are like, or the fact that the two of them were frequently a noticible shade of red. XD

But yeah, so much hilarity here. Christopher saying "penetrative intercourse" on air and talking about how Baron Blade is probably good in bed, Adam apparently taking thinking about Chrono's butt very seriously, the two of them writing a one minute cheesy porno intro about themselves, the buckets of accidental double entendres (some of them are definitely accidental anyway, as you can on the vid see Christopher making a cringe face when he realizes what he/they said), literally everything about The Director's letter.

I also personal bias found it hysterical their commentary about my eventual classification of Cosmic as being Argent's musical wingman.

Apropros of nothing in particular, have people seen the game Consentacle?

...Well, I can certainly never unsee it now...

I was highly amused that the vehemently deny 'shipping Citizens Hammer and Anvil, yet were totally on board with the idea of them dating surrogates for each other.

I got out of this episode with two main feelings: (a) Haka’s dating history sounds a bit less heartbreaking now, and (b) Parse’s perfect date sounds almost exactly like Nightmist. I think they’d actually be really good for each other.

Haka's dating history actually sounds worse to me now.  They said that the majority of his relationships have ended when the other party died.  But he's been around for 600 years, he's had a lot of relationships, and people live about 50 years (considering the state of medicine from the 13th-18th centuries at least).  That means that the plurality of his relationships ended by a means other than a breakup or death by old age.  And given his line of work, that probably means that most of those were by violence.

So are we going to get a Maerynean sex ed podcast extrasode.

I'm kidding.

I did send in a letter asking where the hell you'd find out about Maerynean sex ed in the publishing universe.

like, learning about the whole "they lay eggs that have the genetic traits of all the people they hang out with" makes sense but the other thing... not so much.

Did Sentinel Comics decide it was a good idea to publish a comics version of a certain Shmungeons and Shmagons source book?

Don't forget about Ansel G Moreau "Doing his own stunts" or Christopher's take on where he'd use that line.

Nobody asked for my opinions, BUT HERE THEY ARE

1. I think I’m probably the only one in this community who ships Absolute Zero + The Wraith, but I do so there.

2. Seems like the perfect thing for Haka is to get together with…the other Haka?

3. Christopher, the hand gesture you’re searching for is definitely the one (even executed in a PG-13 context!) that the director of Nucleolab does in the last scene of The Fifth Element.

Weirdly, I was thinking that Parse’s perfect date sounds a lot like Tachyon, if Tachyon wasn’t married already. Someone who can keep up with her mind, is happy to spend time with her or spend time doing sicence, and is pretty calm. 

Well, I dunno if Tachyon is calm, per se, but you're definitely on to something.

Chrono-Ranger X KNYFE bears a lot of thinking about IMO, because CR only exists in the timeline when he’s doing his job, and is sufficiently dedicated to his work that he wouldn’t stop to roll in the hay with anyone, unless there was absolutely zero chance that the beast he’s hunting gets away because of him being distracted. So this seems most likely to be the result of a CON that’s been COMpromised but Clone-Ranger, sending him after a target that he’s intentionally not granted the proper ability to defeat (eg a vampire sired directly by BCB and he’s been told to use a wooden stake, not specifying that it needs to be black poplar. So he stakes her and tries to port out, but it doesn’t work and he doesn’t know why, but he’s stuck in this time period for however long. He goes and finds a place to stay, starts reading newspapers to try and figure out what this time period is like, and Paige goes to ask him a follow up question about the vampire, not knowing he’s less knowledgeable than she is. They get to talking, they hit it off, the next morning she sneaks out to go find her next objective, the vampire attacks, CR stakes it again, this time using a piece of wood from the environment which is coincidentally black poplar, the vampire truly dies, his star charges, and he says goodbye to Knyfe, who is probably just a little insensitive and goes like “Ach, ye wer a bonny lad, but I fain dinnae rully ‘do’ g’byes” and he goes “What? Whatever” and goes home. Okay those last lines are definitely wrong but the rest would work fine as a story template.

Loved the Bobby Pesto letter. It’s definitely not true, but I like that version of Wags better than the big baby from the Guise roommate story. It helps that I’m a little kinky myself, and since we can’t be X-rated in this universe, the psychological dynamics of an unconventional relationship are more interesting than them just doing Archie-style drama.

Adam’s extremely authentic little girl voice cracks me up. I wonder if his daughter is old enough yet to listen to this episode and what she thinks of Dad’s “impression” of her.

Been thinking about the “fleek marry kill”, and I have my top five on each side of the law. I’ll do villains first, that’s easier:

1. Chokepoint (omg those child bearing hips)
2. Citizen Dawn (we could do “raceplay”)
3. VotM Miss Information (not that into her looks, but she can bend reality into anything I want)
