Heyo Sentinels Fan.
In the future we shall be getting an episode about daybreak. So I must ask: what the heck is daybreak? I know it’s a team led by young legacy, sorry, legacy but nothing past that. I tried to catch up using the sentinels wiki and found nothing. So, who are daybreak? What do they do? What is their membership? And what do I need to know before the episode?
thank you,
X-metal (my usual ending inside of parenthesis. This is what it is on the letters page btw.)

If memory serves me correctly, they're the team founded & funded by RevoCorp and not an offshoot of the Sentinels of Freedom initiative.

Daybreak is the offshoot of the Freedom Five in the RPG timeline. The RevoCorp team is the Paradigms.
Edit: As to more information about them X-Metal we don’t have much beyond the team name and having Legacy (Paulina), Muse, and Aeon Girl

Aeon Girl was mentioned during the GenCon live episode last year. Effectively, she’s a female presenting Aeon Man who gained sentience after OblivAeon’s defeat.
Once again we don’t have a lot of information to go off of. The Young Legacy episode might help with that.

I think Aeon Girl is a lot like Singularity in Mental state, but more messed up.
I been wanting Answers for Aeon Girl since last year time to ask questions.

I'd love to get an image of Aeon Girl to see if she has the same faceless design of her male counterparts

She's not really an Aeon Man, she's the embodiment of a bunch of raw OblivAeon energy given form by Lifeline. Same energy, different creation method. So there's no reason to think she'll look the same (though she'll probably be the same shade of yellow).

I do hate Letters Page subjects like this, because we just don't have enough info to base questions off of. :/ I anticipate a lot of answers starting with, "Well, we just talked about that in the episode..."

I hope it is sade to share this information, but on the patreon discord it was leaked a long time back that there is a female hero named Rockstar on the team

I'm getting the impression that Daybreak are an all-female squad, a la A-Force or Birds of Prey. :D

So far the entirety of the revealed members are female.
Legacy - Pauline "Felicia" Parsons leading her own team.
Muse - Young Vanessa Long making projections, coming into her own, and doing psychic stuff.
Aeon Girl - Being ridiculously powerful, but having no idea how her powers work, how to control herself, or even who she is as a person.
Rockstar - No information.
Unrevealed member - No information
So far, it looks like Daybreak focuses a lot more on using raw power creatively as opposed to the Freedom Five team who were much more focused on using super technology to win the day.

I have the feeling that as well as being an all girl team, Daybreak are also a team of heroes related to established heroes

Personally I’m interestsed in how they work with other teams such as the paradigms.

Just to point out the obvious, they all seem to be young, too, fitting with the team name.
Could Rockstar be related to a Virtuoso of the Void?

That’s a good guess. We know more Virtuosos will be coming out of the woodwork. Maybe an alien Virtuoso (to put the “star” in more modestly)? Otherwise I was thinking a Magmarian (because they’re made of rock).
Tempest’s offspring would be my best guess for the fifth spot. They’ll be about the right age. Not female, but not male either, and we don’t know that Rockstar is, either.
As for “related to existing heroes,” it’s hard to avoid. The lore is so dense that I imagine most new heroes and villains will have ties to existing ones, one way or another. All the other new characters we know of are this way (Anubis, Arataki, even the Oni), even the Tactics characters (For Profit, the Spites, the Citizens, etc.).

Maybe I should have been more specific with what I meant with related.
Legacy is the daughter of the previous .
Muse is our timelines version of the Visionary( Biologically they are sisters)
Aeon Girl is the "child" of Lifeline
I'm guessing Rockstar has a similar connection to a previous hero. Even your guess, Child of Tempest has that kind of connection to a previous hero.
Of course I could be wrong, this is a total guess

Legacy is not on Daybreak. She's their liaison with the Sentinels of Freedom - both a trainer and a dispatcher of sorts, but she's not a member of the team.

Well in that case we are down to only three heroes we know the name of. Muse being the only one we have a decent background story of.

I had to review Podcast Episode 19, in which Christopher says she's "working with a brand-new hero team" with five all-new characters. Not a member, just working with them. I actually do recall hearing that the first time around, but forgot. Of course, it turns out that at least one member isn't actually an all-new character after all.

I thought it didn't sound right that Legacy was on Daybreak, since she's supposed to be part of the Sentinels of Freedom. Of course, it wouldn't be the first time a superhero was on two teams at the same time.

And let the speculation begin!
This is almost certainly wrong, but the first thing I pictured for Headlong was a reformed Highbrow, since, ya know, she has a long head.

I hope not and doubt it quite a bit considering her appearance from Fort Adamant. That would be a very creepy hero

So we have a zombie for a hero or one that uses the dead based on that name

Yeah, "Muerto" suggests that the character is himself dead. One who makes use of the dead (a necromancer of some sort) would probably use "muerte" or some derivation thereof. Also, this shoots down the all-female theory (or it would be "Muerta").
"Headlong" sure does sound like a double entendre for someone with a literally long head. Maybe a psychic, maybe a stretcher (we don't really have one of them yet). It wouldn't be a bad name for Tempest's offspring, either, since Tempest is considered hotheaded by Maerynian standards, and their child would be even moreso.

You already have Muse so it seems unlikely to me that you’d two psychic heroes on same team unless there is a major difference in how they apply those powers.

We don't know a lot about Muse's capabilities. She's almost certainly a "minion master" archetype, but whether she has psychic abilities beyond that we don't know. In the card game she deals psychic damage, but whether she can read minds, move objects, or any of Visionary's other stunts is unknown. There could be a more traditional mentalist, perhaps much like Highbrow with the "analyst" emphasis.
