Listening to Visionary's Lazer Ryderz song totally made me wish that Sentinels: the Musical was an actual thing.
The base question is if it should be an actual full-fledged musical where music is just the medium of storytelling, or one of those "weird magical/scientific phenomenon causes everyone to be stuck singing and dancing for a while" things.
Also I want a Citizens of the Sun dance number. Like a West Side Story style thing.
Dawn and Blade in a choreographed turf war?

It turns out the Prime Wardens have their own theme song that Argent Adept composed that they sing every time they arrive on the scene.
I can imagine Fanatic and Captain Cosmic being very "oh man, do we have to sing it again?" and Haka and Tempest are just really into it. XD

Thanks to the concept of Infinite Universes, this is soemthing that exists SOMEWHERE! Even better: there's a version that's so amazing it's on Broadway!
In all seriousness though (we can be serious here, right? I tend to forget sometimes) I could TOTALLY see this as a botched attempt at neutralizing Legacy by the Great, Powerful, and infinitely Generous Leader, Baron Blade (answer is yes, i REALLY like the character idea of Baron Blade) but the device malfunctioned somehow, and now causes everyone to dance/sing every encounter as it happens.
And for extra head cannon-ey goodness: I could TOTALLY see The Visonary being this amazing singer, but has always been too shy to do it in front of anyone.
Musicals exist in the liminal space of the intersection of serious and silly, so you may be both or either as you desire.
And, going the "everyone's compelled to dance and sing" route raises the amusing question of who would get a kick out of it and who'd be annoyed, and who'd be good at it and who'd be terribly tone-deaf. And who'd be the next Gene Kelly and who has two left feet. (Bonus for any characters for whom these three axes do not synergize.)
…from the opening of this post, I thought it was building up to the introduction of the MUSICALVERSE, in which all of our beloved characters are musical theater versions of themselves who break out into song to punctuate plot points of their battles.
@Trajector: Now from that I'm picturing in-universe some of the Megalopolis kids holding a high school musical where they all act out their favoritest heroes and villains.

1. Tyler Vance frequently turns off his communicator and sings inside the suit during long waits on mission. Cool acoustics in there.
2. Fanatic can sing so good it will kill you if she catches you listening.
3. Unity is a baritone, and a dang good one, but it embarasses her so no one knows.
4. Legacy is tone deaf, but no one really minds because he has great expression.

Yes. I'm pretty sure that was the joke (i.e. why she'd be embarassed about it).

More facts:
1. In a late 80's comic, Haka helped pioneer a new form of dance, after showing some at risk youth a Haka, and them showing him breakdancing, they bonded and created a dance style mixing the two, learning a valuable lesson that people all over the world aren't that different, and also that drugs are bad.
They stayed in school and would later make a Broadway show about dance inspired by that moment.
2. Wraith is a fantastic singer, and very well trained, but doesn't like people to know. Maia and Tyler eventually come to refer to their secret late night strategy sessions as Karaoke night for a bit, but discontinue after Legacy overhears and with the best of intentions makes it a team event of actual karaoke.
3. Tempest sings beautifully for a Maerynian, but Earth ears don't appreciate it.
4. Expatriette punch dances lika a boss.
The closest feminine-labelled analogue would probably be contralto, though it's not uncommon to just see "baritone" used in any four-part works. Like in a all-woman barbershop quartet you'd still have a baritone and bass.
Nobody will let Setback sing, but he’s actually pretty good. His musical taste is abominable though.

I'm not sure about your first post, but I would bet money that everything on your last post is dead-on.
The Tyler Vance one makes sense. I would say that a MUSICALVERSE (wich has to be sung in all caps otherwise your not pronouncing it right) sounds amazing. Imagine the freedom four annual #1 finishing off with an amazing dance battle with freedom five vs baron blade and his blade battalion. I think baron blade might actually have more Broadway styled numbers similar to Doctor Heinz doofenshmirtz.
Okay now Baron Blade is getting a little 90's glam flavor with his battalion of backup dancers.
My take:
Legacy: Tone-deaf other than Yankee Doodle Dandy, Star-Spangled Banner, and You're a Grand Old Flag
Bunker: Sings songs inside the suit, and hates boy bands because they always get stuck in his head on the way home
Tachyon: Favorite song is Devil Glitch, because it's the only song she can sing for a full 5 minutes without repeating the song 20 times over. She only has to sing it twice.
Wraith: Only song she really likes is Boyfriend by Justin Bieber, but denies he's the artist because she hates him. She's become a lot less stealthy recently because the target can hear her humming it as she plans to take the evildoer out.
Absolute Zero: Aside from what was already said by C&A, he also really likes Burn by Ellie Goulding
Visionary: Doesn't really care about what song, she just sings... amazingly.
Ra: Only listens to songs with Fire or Burn in the title or chorus. Has a very high singing voice, and does a fantastic cover of Girl on Fire
Fixer: Acts like he doesn't care, but he knows by heart the top 100 rap songs of all time and aces the rap for all of them. Dark Watch may have heard once.
Expatriette: Secretly loves Bruno Mars songs. Noone knows.
NightMist: Can't sing, but knows every dance move ever
Setback: Sings all the time on missions. Sings well, but yeah, the terrible taste sounds right on.
Harpy: Youtube History-1 item. Batman's Darkness song from the lego movie 5 hour loop. You have watched 479 times.
Unity: Shawn Mendes addict.
Argent Adept: Greatx825 grandfather invented music. He's almost as good as the Argent.
Captain Cosmic: Only British artists. Does perfect impersonations of them though.
Haka: He specializes in the background chants for the songs his friends sing. (Him and CC do the best Pompeii cover you'll ever hear)
Tempest: Again, phanta was spot on. Sings beautifully for Maerynian, but noone on Earth appreciates it.
Fanatic: The one time she sang a pop song, it was so good everyone listening swore they heard Heaven that day. Aside from that one time, the only songs she sings are hymns. She isn't very good at singing them though.

if this is true harpy just became my favorite superhero ever. Also it's called untitled self portrait. I bet there's at least one hero who loves Disney songs… And I'm betting its argent adept. And he can do the duet songs perfectly doing both parts.
If Haka's not a Disney fan I'll be disappointed. I would also put my vote on Unity and Setback. Maybe Tempest.
Unity seems like she'd be a big musicals fan. Probably Wicked, Rent, and Phantom of the Opera are her favorites.
And they've said that Haka is a Gilbert and Sullivan fan. I bet he could kill "When a felon's not engaged in his employment"

Nobody ever thought much of Jonathan Donovan as a singer. He could carry a tune well enough, and he could give you a note if you asked for it, but there was never any passion behind the music.
Baron Blade once composed a classical opera, just to see if he could. It tells the story of the founding of Mordengrad, back in the mists of history. It's entirely fictional, of course, but the Baron believes that it illustrates a higher truth.

One of Grand Warlord Voss' military innovations was to formally allow and encourage the use of music in Thorathian military manoeuvres. Soldiers had a long tradition of playing loud and aggressive music to get in the mood for battle. Voss not only allowed this, but permitted armoured vehicles to have enormous speakers mouned on them. Not only did it improve morale, but the din proved an effective tool of psychological warfare.
