Since the topic of costumes has come up various times as of late in the podcast and streams, what are your thoughts on the various outfits our heroes and villains wear in the Sentinelsverse?

A few of the ones I particularly like:

I love that they came up with a way for Legacy to look patriotic without the same stars n' stripes motif most America patriotic characters wear. The idea of using Paul Revere's lantern is both unique and goes with Legacy's gift for leadership and hope.

I also love Grandpa Legacy's superheroic WWII uniform look.

Super-Scientific Tachyon's outfit makes her look like a true adventurer scientist.

Scholar of the Infinite also has a very sharply stylish adventuring look to him.

Captain Cosmic's Prime Wardens style makes him look like we should call him Admiral Cosmic. Love that snappy jacket.

I feel like in Tactics Argent Adept's finally found an outfit that's just the right combo of stylized and practical; love the scarf especially. Also it gives him a sort of desert adventurer look.

Over on the villains side, I want to shop wherever Matriarch shops for clothes. I've always loved the classy Goth look.

Baron Blade looks great in the RPG. Like the platonic ideal of an aristocratic mad scientist.

And The Operative looks gorgeous in her green/blue minidress getup in Tactics.

I'm a big fan of Fanatic's armor, a well done look that fits the character & is practical. and the whole Warrior Prince look that Prime Wardens Tempest has going on.

I wouldn't say Fanatic's armour was "practical" given that she wears downright dangerous "boob plate" but if it was realistically shaped then yeah, that'd be useful ;).

I'm not really one to get interested in clothes or anything like that so I suppose technically that means I think the Scholar has the best costume since he just wears his normal, casual clothes because he doesn't care about that kind of thing :D.

I think the Boobplateyness?(yep, that's a word now.)  varries from art to art a bit, because comics. For instance in her Redeemer variant it looks REALLY boobplatey but it doesn't loook as bad on the armors card for itself... then again, someone trying to Fly in 100+ lbs of painted gothic plate armor so... Comics... I also approve of the Scholars outfit, then again my family refers to me as Heph a lot because I have a bathrobe that i like wearing cause it's comfy & warm.

I admit I'm torn between liking the casualness of Scholar and Parse's original outfits and liking how sharp their upgraded outfits are. :3

In terms of costume criticism, I still don't know what is up with Prime Wardens Argent Adept's outfit. The cloak collar and widow's peak make him look vaguely villanous, and the whole monocolored full bodysuit idea just looks plain weird on a guy. You're cute, Anthony, but your fashion sense...

So if it's a costume fashion show, I appoint Jeysie, Ehkrickor, Ameena, myself, and the next person to join the convo as the 5 "judges". Since Jeysie mentioned PW Adept, let's have the Prime Wardens come out in their team outfits. Your thoughts on the coordination as well as the individual outfits, judges?

NightMist has the 1920 crime Noir look that I like. And I agree with your comments any jacket wearer. Best in show.

I am also liking the ¿Quando? ¿Ahora? Freedom Five outfits they have.

Scholar of the Infnite totally has a look I have worn before.

And Xtreme Fanatic (and all the Xtreme) is a great look. Reminds me of the impractical outfits comic book heroes wore when I was a kid. It doesnt hurt that Xtreme Fanitic is my favorite Fanatic now.

And La Comodora looks sharp. Love the whole space pirate look.

Speaking of jackets, how about XPW Haka's ripped leather jacket?

I'm a little bit disappointed they didn't put all the XPWs in leather jackets to go with how everyone in the Avengers had a leather jacket back then. Though Fanatic has Psylocke's swimsuit, Argent is doing the "uncomfortable metal clothes" trope, and Cosmic has the mullet and all the guns.

Gotta love XPW Argent's manly hair, too. Speaking of hair, I always wish I had Parse's hair any time I see her portrait.

Definately like the PW co-ordination, the Red/gold shot through the whole ensamble creates a nice aggressive but team oriented undertone while still allowing a lot of individuality to show through with unique secondary colors & contrasting skin tones.

I think that the wardens have really stepped it up with the XPW costumes though, The retro 90's look, so hot right now. Tempest gets extra points though, with 4 heroes in Metalic bodysuits shot through with gold and silver having, to use a comedy term, a "straight-man" to play off brings the whole grouping together & makes it pop so much more. Then again CC has always had Fantastic fasion sense. a Double breasted jacked whatever the material screams poise & is particularly well made in the cold of a vacuum.

Nightmist is another Hero Fashion star in her short Skirt & Loong jacket which always pairs very well particularly when offset by going to opposite ends of the pallet for any accompanying garments.

And finally my last pick for "Killing it" with their new costumes is Harpy, the short coctail dress and boots pairs suprisingly well with the renaisaunce style half cape and mask, beautifully offset by the distressed look of her torn fishnets. Overall a very nice ensamble that is sure to see immitations around Rook City's rather ... antagonistic night clubs.

(what do you guys think. Too deep into the "fashion critic" character?)

Tangent: Your comment about the contrasting skin tones suddenly made me realize the Prime Wardens all contrast in other ways, too. We have an American and an Englishman, a Catholic and pre=colonial tribal, and in the Tactics timelines, a Maerynian and a Thorathian.

I have to say, I've always been a fan of original Unity's "Grease Monkey" look, though the Termi-nation outfit is good to.

I'm not a fan of the pink jumpsuits she goes to later though, they're just a bit too much for my taste when she had such an understated style before that.
