I still find it funny that it's Akash of all people who manages to turn her sworn enemies into best budsies.

The fact that only Argent can talk to Akash makes me hope that Megalopolis kind of views him as their resident Crazy Plant Guy. (Like the flora version of a Crazy Cat Lady.) As for Naturalist... uh... sorry Princess Cool, but I'm just going to leave that whole train of thought alone for the sake of my sanity. They're Nature Buddy Cops and I'm sticking to that.

There was like a whole Highlander thing kinda going on first with Akash and then with the Crimson Conductor. Or like Kirby only more gruesome.

I missed "presence", but noted "spirit" and "blight"...

So, I've got a crazy theory after listening to this.

Akash'Bhuta was created to combat a huge mass of "shadowy, parasitic beings" that went around ravaging planets to absorb void energy and make themselves stronger.

Such a mass of individuals could be called many things, a swarm, a horde, ect. But, they were very vague on what it is, and we know it retreated, not that Akash' killed every last one of them.

What are the odds that parasitic mass of individuals is The Host?

They could attach themselves to individuals, being parasites, and potentially alter the person enough. This could explain Apostate, and the vision Visionary had of him destroying worlds before. This also has heavy implications for Fanatic, but I have no idea if they would be the same "species" or if a section of this Host split off and is in a war with the other. Perhaps they all started as symbiotic, but after learning they could absorb energy from the void and other sources to grow in power some of them took a dark path and became more parasytic instead?

It could also be that Voidsoul is one of them. He fits the physical description and his style of dealing with threats certainly fits, plus he is fought by the Prime Wardens, and his card art specifically calls out Fanatic getting whammied by him and whatever it is he can do. Considering he tends to invite doubt (much like Apostate) Fanatic would seem the least likely one he would target, tearing her down is a feather in his cap, but it is easier to get at someone like Tempest or Captain Cosmic than Fanatic who has been down this road so many times. Unless, he had a special connection to her that made her a more enticing target?

It is an odd fit (I'm not usually a fan of "Angels and Demons are really aliens") but it is a possible path. We know Akash's ancient enemy still lives, and they probably stll want the Nexus of the Void.

Also, I'm a little... taken aback, by how sympathetic Akash'Bhuta really is as a villian. It's interesting that as we go down the list of people who became heroes to fight Oblivaeon, HArpy, Lifeline, and Akash'Thriya have all been really sympathetic and understandable individuals.

Akash'Bhuta consumed other spirits (bad) so she could solo a hundred million year war against a near endless enemy for the sake of the planet (that still breaks my brain.)

And it was really for the sake of the planet, even if our planet survived the Nexus of the Void being destroyed, we don't know what other harm this parasytic wave of shadow creatures would do to a planet they left behind. It could have been wrecked meaning life could never possibly exist here.

After that the Nexus calls for her to give up everything she fought for, give up who she has become, to become something lesser, and she refuses. Sealing the Nexus and tending the planet for another couple million years, even saving some of the dinosaurs from extinction. Then, these new animals make a deal with the thing trying to destroy her, bring it back to the surface where it can effect this world, her world, again and when she goes to wipe them out, they have the gall to actually defeat her. Her, the being that singlehandedly ended the war that would have had the void destroyed and guided life to where these things could even exist.

And in her sense of timescale, the blip that is humanity has convinced her to change her ways, admit to what she did that was wrong, and find a new path, all within an incredibly short amount of time.

Man, she might have become one of my new favorite characters.

Aslo, if there is not a card for the Akash'Flora tree in that deck, I am going to be so disapointed. That is some artwork I desperately want to see and it would feel awesome to pull something like that off, even if it probably will cost a ton of hp and cards to bring it onto the field and activate it.

Interesting theory.  There was a different one on reddit about the parasites becoming OblivAeon.  

I’m guessing that Akash’Flora will be a mission reward rather than a part of Akash’Thriya’s deck. That way they can give it a suitably awesome ability without unbalancing her deck.

Yeah, the Akash'Flora isn't a thing until she's weakened.  If Akash'Thriya: Spirit of the Void had its own deck, the tree could be in there, but the game doesn't work that way.  And it can't be in an environment, because it's in Megalopolis.  So yeah, I'm betting on it being a mission reward too.  Probably something that manipulates or controls the environment in some way.  I'd love to see a card that turned the envionment into more of a help to the heroes than a hindrance somehow!

My guess would be that the reward becomes an environment card which heals/empowers the heroes.

Well on the effect, I'm feeling it will be a choice between healing and drawing/playing more cards. That seems to fit what they were saying happened with it making all the heroes better at what they did.

I guess I'd be fine with it being a mission card, I just desperately want to see this tree. When they first said "it is a huge tree" I was picturing something the size of a sky-scraper, but when they said the roots cover the entire city? I think this is a tree as big as a city and I want to see that.

I guess I'm greedy and I also want artwork of how Megalopolis ends up incorporating a tree of that size into itself as they rebuild.

This is one of the coolest things they have ever done in the Multiverse
