"Fowl Magics" is pretty much a comprehensive description of The Harpy.

Yeah, this one is for the birds but people will probably flock to it anyway.

Thank you, oh powerful and wise internet wizard…

On a side note, Christopher really does have perfect wizard hair.

Just got to the bit about Lilian's hair, and the explanation given makes perfect sense to me.

I'm pretty sure I considered asking about it, but then figured, "oh, it's probably mostly-white for the same reason that Nightmist's hair is white, that being a sudden infusion of magical power." It's not like that would be the first time anyone here has ever seen that used as an explanation for that sort of thing, even if I can't think of any other examples offhand (which is fine, TVTropes has me covered).

I stuck this on the subreddit, too, but the remark about how bad her poetry is had me wondering if it was Vogon bad, or merely Paula Jennings bad.

And I replied with the bad pun of which one do you consider more fowl?

I'm more amused than I should be that the lawyer they get to bail her out is named Hawke.

I hope there is an Interlude episode on her.

Now I'm curious just how many cards Harpy shows up on; I know she's on one in Parse's deck and the Celestial Tribunal, but I can't think of the others just at the moment and, uh, that's a lot of cards to look through.

I saw; just didn't readily have an answer.

I caught that, too. My earlier remark (at the subreddit) had been typed while I was listening, as they were describing her really bad poetry.

I like how, even though the whole character arc is planned from the very start, the way it's set out makes it really feel like in Sentinel Comics Publishing World she was just this complete throwaway villian of the week for an annual that was really about Absolute Zero where they added a family connection to Tachyon so ITS PERSONAL, and then because they did that they felt like they had to keep her around as a side character in Tachyon's stories, and then years later the Nightmist team decided to have her pick up an apprentice and decided Lillian would be a an interesting person to have as the apprentice. I've always found it interesting how there's this dual layer of sometimes things happen because it's the comics way of doing things and having characters fall by the wayside and back in even though in reality it's part of the plan since day 1. There's been a lot of effort put into the fictional "middle-man" world as well as the actual world in a way that feels very authentic.

I’m super excited that one of my questions was answered (in addition to Christopher and Adam subjecting you guys to me fangirling at them), but one thing I am still curious about is what’s going on in the Dark Watch Harpy incap art. They answered another question about where it took place, but not what was happening. The glowy tentacles make it seem like whatever she’s casting is probably pretty dangerous. I’d love to know what she was doing and why.

According to the wiki, it’s just those two.

How many cards has Benchmark been in, comparatively? I don't think any.

I think that was intentional since it wasn't for certain he is a hero they'd be able to print.   Like the other OblivAeon related heroes didn't come onto the scene pretty late story wise.

So I got around to listening to this episode. And consistenty throughout it, there were so many moments that the only thing I could think of was...

I really like when they talk through why Sentinel Comics did things.  That's really the only thing that episode was missing.

Anyone think its only coincidence that the "3 people, Adam! 1 person, Adam! 4 names, Adam!" bit spells out 3.14, the beginning of pi?

I've been starting to wonder if that is Benchmark on the back of DW Expat - there is two silhouettes on the back, one with green energy on their hands (Argent Adept?) and one with red energy on their hands (I've been assuming perhaps Empyreon, as that is the only source of red energy so far besides the back of PW and XTREME PW Tempest (but those are red lightning, not red aura). We know from the released Benchmark card that he has red aura energy around his hands. Could that scene be from the end when Revocorp forces benchmark into fighting the heroes? (as seems to be indicated from what we have been given in his story updates)

It could be Revernant too

I think Revenant is a more plausable candidate, but you can always ask a question for Benchmark's eventual Letter's Page episode.
