I thought it would be fun and/or useful to talk about what questions we've submitted. Then we can be inspired by other questions to ask questions of our own, and cut down on duplicates. Just to be 100% sure the questions get asked, though, don't say what you plan to ask them until after you have already submitted it. Then we guarantee it gets sent and don't have a situation where the original person forgets to ask their question and the others who planned to do it too see it's already been brought up and don't do it either.

Next week is gonna be about KISMET! What questions do you have?

(I'm a little curious about this one in particular, for obvious reasons)

Here's a question I just submitted, to kick things off:

So the vibe I'm getting about Setback and Kismet's dichotomy is a passive/active one. One is content to make the best of whatever hand fate deals him, while the other actively fights against fate and tries to cheat it at every opportunity. Is that it, or is there a different way you look at their rivalry?

I asked about the Shark that appeared on Inconcieveable Obstruction and Gimmicky Character since it has to be the same one as the flavor text of both cards reference the same issue.

…I never noticed that before. I really hope this one gets answered now.

Also, fun fact! Inconceivable Obstruction is a card I suggested during playtests in an effort to give Kismet some defensive ability that fit her flavor.

My just submitted question set:

Which other villains has Kismet interacted with the most?  Has Dawn tried to recruit her?

Has Kismet tried dating anyone since she and Setback split up?

Kismet's curse on Setback seems really powerful.  Can she do that sort of thing on a regular basis, or were there special circumstances?

Did Kismet do anything interesting during OblivAeon?  If so, what?

What made Kismet unstable?  Does 'unstable' refer to her powers or her personality?

I asked a bunch, including about Shark. (although I didn't bring up gimmicky character)

The main line of questions was about Kismet's jinxes and her giving Setback's powers, and whether the jinxes are permanent and if Kismet or others could remove Setbacks Jinx.

I want to know how the in-game mechanic of her talisman switching from villain to player control actually plays out in the comics.

I've really enjoyed the Letters Page so far. But I really would like to see more discussion of things that tie the lore and game experience together. Things like explainations of some key art peices in hero/villain decks, explainations on all incap arts, mechanics that were inspired by comic stories, that sort of thing.

I asked two questions, one was answered on the stream

1)    I forget the wording, but I was the Dave that asked about the relationshio between Setback and Expatriette and how she has a "grim" nature and history, and Setback's easier going nature.

2)    I asked if Setback and Guise had any wacky shenanigans together, and what are they?

I also asked this question, or something similar!

I'm guessing that this one was tabled for the Guise episode.  They did state that Setback isn't meant to be a wacky character the same way Guise is, so it makes sense to me that any wacky schenanigans they do together to be filed under Guise, rather than Setback.

Here's hoping!

Setback is pretty funny, though. It's that juxtaposition of "this dude is constantly getting beat up" and "he's being really positive about it". I dunno, my game group always enjoys his shenanigans, at least.

Of note about Kismet in Sentinels Tactics there was this tweet reply they had https://twitter.com/scletterspage/status/836804428107812866 which says the following:

>

@SCLettersPage WAIT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BLOCK AFTER KISMET SEALED IT?

@RussTroxel Long story short: it became a pocket reality affixed to the Sentinel Tactics reality. A major villain sets up shop there.

A major villain sets up shop there.

Was it Rabit?

Heh, I doubt it. I really prefer to be behind the scenes, just helping out.  :slightly_smiling_face:

(Luckily, being a teleporter, I can pretty much get behind anything…  )

Interlude episode just released explains that Kismet does exist in the history of Tactics as the RPG and Tactics have the same SotM background.  However, what they meant by no Kismet is that she hasn't been seen in the Tactics storyline since leaving the Block.   An additional piece is that the Block exists only in the Tactics timeline due to the actions of Kismet when she left and it can travel anywhere in the Tactics timeline but not anywhen like it used to.   So in the RPG timeline the Block is no longer there.
