Wild speculation about the VotM expansion:

No idea why this popped into my head but I'm fixated on the idea that Galactra might be someone from earth we've already seen...  The Cosmotiq bilboard model (and I believe that the billboard isn't the first time we've seen her).  Her hair's the wrong color, but strange space accidents and cosmic energy could've cause that.

FYI the billboard is Tachy’s wife.

I'm on board.  If anything screams comics it is being the face of a company that foretells your gain in powers.

Yup. Our Cosmotiq Woman is indeed Dana Bertrand, supermodel and wife of Dr. Meredith (Tachyon) Stinson.  Dana was seen very briefly in Freedom Four Annual #1, Page #15 . I didn't mention that originally as that piece of information was told to me by Christopher at PAX East and I wasn't sure if that info was out in the wild.  I agree with  phantaskippy, that the synchronicty of her being in that ad when we have a new female space villain about to appear just feels right. Plus, having a hero's spouse become a villain is an extra bonus.

FYI, Galactra also appears on Captain Cosmic's Harsh Offense card and while I may just be reading into it, she seems to have the same nose and lips as Dana does in the Cosmotiq ad (her hair is less vibrantly purple, too). Has she appeared in any other cards as of yet?

Also, the energy radiating from Galactra's hands is the Cosmotiq atom icon (which I should've noticed immeidately, but I missed until I started looing at the image even closer).

I hope I'm right about this, because it'd be awesome for the story.

It's public information as that picture was drawn by Adam during his livestream art session in June.   It also appears in the Megaopolis victory screen sometimes in the video game.

As to her being Galactra, if a picture of Galactra shows me that same mole Dana has on her left cheek then I feel it might be confirmed.   I'd also note that Captain Cosmic and Infinitor use similar atom icons while suit their powers which only would leave me to believe that they have the same power source.

Yeah, I noticed that CapC & Infin have that art too, but I think the connections are intriguing, even if it is wild speculation.

Regarding the billboard, I knew that the art was public, I just wasn't sure if it was actually stated anywhere that the woman on the billboard was Dana.

I'm guessing that Galactra is wearing a bodysuit, so it seems unlikely to me that a mole would show.

Pretty sure that this is already confirmed since Cap Cos and Infinitor both got their powers from the strange meteor that crashed near them while they were star-gazing.

"When Hugh came to, he was unsure as to how much time had passed. He was lying on the edge of the crater, but neither the purple crystal nor his brother Nigel were anywhere to be found."

https://greaterthangames.com/content/the-villain-infinitor-causes-shipping-delay

"Reaching out instinctively, Nigel drew unknown power from a nearby source and somehow flew straight up into the night sky, pulsing with a sickly green energy."

Or do you mean Galactra, Captain Cosmic and Infinitor all have the same power sorce? Which I admit could be a possibility.

I don't think you got my point Phantom5613.  I know Infinitor and Captain Cosmic got their powers from the purple crystal.   My point was that I wonder if Galactra got her powers from a similar or the same source since we see that same atom icon.

It might be a body suit but I'm not entirely sold on it being one.

I would think so but unfortunately I don't think it will much more insight on the purple crystal.

Adam's livestream art session and it can be seen sometimes in Megaopolis in the video game.

Edit: That livestream from June is available to watch on the GtG YouTube page.

Although you can't really make out any details, Dana is also on a billboard in Sentinels Tactics.

The main problem I have with this is all we really know of Galactra is that she’s from space and doesn’t like humans being in space (and she packs a high powered energy punch) . That would be odd for a human character… Unless you’re thinking Dana wasn’t ever really human.

For independent story reasons, it would also be very, very odd to Dana to become Galactra. Dana Bertrand and Meredith Simpson are protrayed as a happy couple, and that kind of twist just doesn't make sense to me.

Lasting relationships are extremely rare in comic books. Even relationships that do last are plagued by misfortune and unfortunate twists. Part of it is writers looking for plot points, but think of what it would be like to be in a relationship with a superhero. Tough.

And that's why Expatriette and Setback do so well together.  They both already expect the mishaps.

Wouldn't work with Tachyon, Dana probably has at least one piece of jewelry with a tracking device on and Meredith is the fastest woman alive.  I can imagine the threatening phonecall now.

"Alright Tachyon, we have your girl, now bring the… GAHHH! What the hell!? MY LEGS, YOU BROKE MY FREAKING LEGS YOU SUPERSONIC FREAK! No, I'm sorry, I'll never go near her again I promise, please don't hurt me any more…"

But why would a character who has otherwise shown to be in a happy relationship turn into an anti-human/earth character?
That’s a bit of a stretch, even by comic standards.

It’s really clutching at straws to attach a character we have no reason to believe isn’t from earth, and has a clear reason to be attached to it and those from it, to a character specifically stated to be from space and doesn’t like humans there.

Why did Captain Cosmic's brother go insane? Alien powers can do strange things to ordinary people.

(For the record I'm don't think it's Dana, more likely to be either an ex of CC's or an entirely new alien personage, see Star Sapphire for the Green Lantern parallels)

Sentinel Comics doesn't seem to really go for the whole significant-other-as-pawn thing. Legacy is another hero that's clearly family-oriented, with no big deal made of it.

My OP said it was unfounded specualtion on my part and I'll be happy to be proven wrong on this.  I think that half of the reason this unlikely idea came to me was due to my hope that we'll get to see more of Dana and the mysterious wife of Paul Parsons before the expansions end.

She's not anti-human, she's just enforcing the Prime Directive.

As a British captain, Captain Cosmic can violate the prime directive whenever he needs to.

I love this about Sentinel Comics.  The kidnapping (or whatever) of a loved one as leverage has become a very over-used trope.  I don't think it should never be used, but if it's used all the time it has no impact.

I'd love to see more of Dana and Nancy before the expansions (and Tactics) end as well.  I expect that we will!  And Christopher said that, if we have unanswered questions when the storyline wraps up, we can ask him.  (Okay, sure, we can ask anything anytime and that doesn't necessarily imply it'd be answered, but I think it was implied he'd be more likely to answer after the story is wrapped up than now.)  So, even though I'd really like to know more about these characters, I feel a bit more inclined to patience now.  Clearly it matters to show certain things at the right times in the storyline, otherwise it wouldn't matter when we asked or when he answered.

Oh yes, I too would love to know more about these more background characters. I just don’t see any reason for this link; one alien character and one character who we’ve never had any reason to believe is anything other than human.

Yes, I don't see a reason for any link between these either.  Even if there is more to Cosmotíq than meets the eye, Dana's just a model for the billboard - there's no particular reason to think she's used any of their products.
