Was she there when he saw what was in store?

For those of you who don't want to have to interpret my poetry:  I don't have the cards in front of me, but I'm pretty sure that when Scholar is pictured on Expect the Worst, he has the markings of Scholar of the Infinate.  And the flavor text of Expect the Worst is "He stood, wreathed in flame, but he did not burn" - Fanatic, Mystery Comics #281.  This sounds to me like Fanatic is present when Scholar "sees too much" and becomes Scholar of the Infinite. I don't know what they were doing, but I have a strong hunch that it involves the Host.  Possibly Biomancer, but I'm leaning towards the Host.  Thoughts?

He still has the robe in that picture, not the vest.  I don't think that is the new scholar.

If you look at his incap side, you'll notice those markings and the ones on the promo are the same.

I think the markings were always there, they probably appear when he taps into his inner power.
