Trivia Questions on Twitter Today!

Today, Wednesday the 25th of February, I will be asking Sentinels Comics related trivia questions on my twitter account every hour on the hour, starting at 10 AM CST!

For every questions that is answered correctly within ten minutes, I will post a Villains of the Multiverse story update! So, if you all are sharp, you'll keep me ridiculously busy all day - everyone wins!

I will not be cross posting the questions here, nor will I accept answers here. However, this forum thread is the perfect place for YOU to post my questions and talk about it amongst yourselves! Someone will need to tweet the correct answer to me within 10 minutes of the posted question, and I will tell you if you're correct or not! If you're wrong, no worries, as long as you still have time, you can come up with the correct answer - no limit on guesses!

I have a twitter account, and am happy to answer. And I'm going to be guessing anyway.  I'll do my best to keep up with other folk's guesses. the caveat is that I'm at work.  From 1-approximately 2 PM CST I will be unable to use twitter, so someone else will definitely have to go for those questions.

It's January 2011 but I don't know the exact day in that month.  

I say January 20th, 2011 because that would be my birthday.

Looks like January 27th was the answer

Although my memory says something about it being early than that (and mentioned in their stuff about sentinels month in January)

I guess these questions are going to be somewhat challenging if that first question is any indication.

Yeah but the 1s and 7s look kinda similar in the font on Sentinels cards (which I assume the LLC papers were filled in with)

So we may be able to figure out some questions based on who will be in Villains. Founding of >Gs may have also been the date Anvil broke out Hammer... So now we have to use our knowledge of La Capitan, FILTER, Biomancer, and Aminia!

See, my immediate thought was it was referencing some flavor text, not just the context of character background.

I was thinking cards with a back different from their deck, but Anubis and his nemesis icon work.

Well, the Tomb IS one of my favorite environments. But clearly no small number of people knew it off the top of their heads as well.

Bugbear looks awesome, but every time I hear it I can only imagine the Bugbear from Story War.

Her first is Dana.

Would they not share the same surname, if they're married, or has Dana kept her original surname (whatever that is)? Because we know Tachyon's is Stinson...

This one might be tricky! Which heroes were canonically in Silver Gulch in 1883?

Look at "Lost in the Past."

Mr. Fixer, Tempest, one other.

And Chrono-Ranger.

If "Lost in the Past" is anything to go by, it's Tempest, Nightmist, Mr Fixer, and the Adept. Jim is also from there originally, so I suppose he counts.

Someone else's answer included AA, but wasn't the Wraith in the same card as him...?

And look at Terrible Tech Strike, etc.  Chrono-Ranger was there.  When was Argent Adept there?

He's in one of the cards in Silver Gulch...Temporal Event I think it's called...the one where you reveal cards from the top of the deck till you get a Time Portal card and then it zaps everyone and is discarded.

Well.  Now I know not to stick to standard team sizes. :D

So Chrono and Omni are L Capitan's nemeses?

Well, as we're getting a promo for Jim, that'd make sense. Maybe all these new villains match up to the promo versions of the heroes we're getting? Or are there too many villains for that? Scholar and Biomancer, Jim and La Capitan...maybe Bugbear and Naturalist (is what I thought when I saw the word "primal", anyway)...but I think that only leaves the Sentinels. Or was there another hero who had a promo, I can't remember...and yeah, thinking about it, the promo heroes are rather outnumbered by the new bad guys. So never mind that, lol.

The problem with that theory is that the promos are scholar, chronoranger and the sentinels, and the sentinels which covers all 7 cards promised as promos.

...and the Naturalist ;).

Scholar : Biomancer

Chrono : Capitain

Naturalist : Ambuscade

Sentinels : Either of the 2 remaining villains?

It's a probable theory.

Sentinels: Operative, judging from her released art, at least.

Ohhh I forgot about Operative. But aside from the art released from Adam, there isn't really any clues from the released bio that points that direction. We will have to wait and see what the rest of todays updates bring!

Man, I really hope that Biomancer didn't steal the Scholar's skin.  It really tied the room together.

Since it was implied that Miss Information's under-villains had a "Hero Team" nemesis theme, it wouldn't surprise me if one of them had the Sentinels as a nemesis.  But that obviously doesn't preclude the possiblity of a main villain having them as a nemesis too.

Foote, I have some new theories to replace your old ones!  I don't know what they are, but I have them!

I guess Wager Master was only "indirectly" related to our cosmic entity, which would make sense why it wasn't a correct answer. Yes, this is me trying to keep my precious theories intact haha.

I thought Wagermaster was his own cosmic entity in the sence that he is cosmic powerful, just not a powerful as the big bad cosmic entity that's blowing up worlds for fun.

Well he is. And you're correct. Wager Master was created from all of the "impossible possibilities" that were created from the loss of The Wager (the wager that, before anything existed, nothing would happen). Well, you need two parties to make a wager right? Someone lost, and someone won that bet (this point was confirmed to be true somewhere in the depths of the playtester forum when I first brought it up). My working theory is that our big bad cosmic entity was the being who won that bet.

How the hell did everyone figure THAT out? There must have been a Scottish history class I missed.

I for one, googled her birth place on her bio with her last name.

Google "Scottish clan Huntly" after checking the SOTM wiki for K.N.Y.F.E.'s real name.

Looked for a list of Scottish clans and ctrl-f'd "Huntly."

Ah. I Googled her birthplace, hoping that would have given me something. But alas, several people beat me to it.

And now we can see that her tattoo is of the clan symbol!  :)  http://www.greatscottishclans.com/clans/gordon.php  Apparently, its motto means "abiding" or "steadfast."  FILTER might take issue with that!  :D

It seems that I was correct about questions being at least loosely based on who the information will be about.

Though the one I am confused about is asking Tachyon's wife name leading to Biomancer. I guess perhaps because that was his first appearance in the card game? I certainly hope it isn't suggesting something bad is going to happen to Tachyon's wife!

Or has happened already!   Dun dun dun!

So, they've already had updates on the new Plague Rat, Zhu Long's Operative, and Ambuscade's Slaughterhouse Six.   So my guess is the next reveal will either be about one of the 2 Environments, or one of the Mini-Expansions!

Given that, as you say, all the non-promo villains have been guessed, at least one of the remaining three updates must be about an environment.  We have two core environments, one promo environment, and one promo villain left to be seen.  That gives us just one deck that we won't know about by the end of this massive info-fest, assuming that we answer all the questions correctly and in time.

There's only one more update.  He said there would be 8 and we just finished #7.

Can I bring it back to the Cosmic Entity discussion?

How is Deadline not one of the answers? Isn't his entire villainous act due to the fact that the Cosmic Entity already went to his world and destroyed it and now Deadline is out to "save" other worlds from this same fate? He certainly is only a villain because of the Cosmic Entity.

He is also only a "villain" in Sentinels of the Multiverse because there are only 3 types of decks. Thematically he really isn't so much as a villain, rather a guy who is trying to fix something the wrong way.

I think that the key word here is "directly".  The Cosmic Entity is indirectly responsible for Deadline, as compared to Infintor, Progeny, and Cosmitron, all of whom were directly imbued with the Entity's power.
