So, according to Beacon's write up in Tactics, she and her father were too injured by fighting Iron Legacy to go to Mars and fall for Baron Blade's trap - other heroes went instead and stopped him.
Since Vengance is the release after Shattered Timelines, does that mean that the Vengeful Five is the scheme that should have successfully killed Legacy?
(Sorry if this has already been discussed)

The order of the expansion isn't necessarily the story order. For example, Sky-Scraper, Captain Cosmic, and Guise are all mentioned in Vengeance.

From other threads my understanding is that the trap setup by Baron Blade that would have killed Legacy or his daughter occurs before the Vengenace teamup that Baron Blade setup.

Iron Legacy certainly happens before the V5 teamup.
Iron Legacy has quotes from the issue Freedom Five Annual #25
There are multiple quotes found from the V5 members from Freedom Five Annual #27
The Annuals are reserved as the major cross over events for our heros. We can construct rough timelines around them.

Based on what you just listed Foote with the issue numbering, it would leave me with the impression that V5 occurred after Iron Legacy not the other way around

Yeah, the trap was sprung pre-Vengeance, because by Vengeance Legacy is up and running again.
