Hi! First of all sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I wasn't sure where to post it.
I was just wondering as a fan of the SotM card game (I like co-op okay?) if they are going to drop the card game for the minis game instead? Don't get me wrong, I'm not too bothered if that's the case. I doubt they would drop the game because they'd have so little to gain but you can never tell with these kinda things.

Yes and No.
"Everything that has a beginning has an end." and the card game has always had a set end point. The fact that Tactics is coming out has not changed this, so the card game will end and >G will (hopefully) continue making the miniatures game but not because of the miniatures game.
If you've been reading the kickstarter updates you'll know that the story of Tactics is set a number of years 'in the future', passed the end point of the card game and has given us a few tantilising hints as to what we can expect from the card game (story wise).
Hope that answers your question, and welcome to the forums!

Well there are two more SotM expansions planned (one of which is a "mega-expansion"), plus some mini-expansion decks (like Unity, Ambuscade, etc) so there's plenty more in the next few years or so.
Also I can't help but be a pedant, but there's no deck-building in SotM. The decks are fixed and pre-made. Deck-building is when you construct a deck yourself in some way from a larger selection of cards, either before play like in Magic: The Gathering, or during play like in Dominion.
Also, welcome! :)

Well, thanks for the concise answer. I thought SotM wasn't a deckbuilder but my friend was adamant about the fact that he thought it was. Oh well.

If you bought Vengeance then at minimum it's confirmed on the side of the bottom half of the box that there will be an expansion called "Wrath of the Cosmos". I know they plan to do more then that but how much I'm not entirely sure.

As silverleaf mentioned, the common speculation at the moment is there will be two more expansions (WotC being one of them).
However, I think the last time I mentioned that as semi-factual, Paul quoted some Obi-Wan at me, and now I'm back to being my normal skeptical self of that assertion.

Where did this ‘two expansions’ thing come from, anyways? I thought that the statement was that Vengeance is the halfway point, which would indicate three more small expansions and either another mega expansion or a full-blown standalone set at the end, right?

The comment came from these here forums, good luck finding it with the pretty horrible search function it has.
However, I do believe there was a "Yes, that was the plan" style comment that opened up the possibility of more than two remaining (though I could be misremembering in hope).

HikariStarshine is, I think, asking about why we thought there would be only two more expansions in the first place. I don't know where that came from. But I can point you to Paul being all Obi-Wan:
I hope they come out with an artbook or a line of comics.

Since just about everyone here knows how much I love speculation, I'll take a shot at this.
Honestly, I can't remember exactly where that notion originated from or why it formed in the first place. But its been around for some time during my first year here on the forums.
Rook City –> Infernal Relics –> Shattered Timelines (how the F did I forget that) –> VENGEANCE –> Wrath of the Cosmos –> ???
Lets look at the numbers:
We know WotC will be a standard format expansion. In other words, 4 Villains, 2 Heros, 2 Environments. We also can resonably guess that the 2 Heros will be Captain Cosmic (our 5th Prime Warden), and Skyscrapper (our large Thorathian girly).
When we start to count currently known Heros who are lacking a "proper" nemesis encounter, we get Captain Cosmic, Skyscrapper, Unity, Scholar, Naturalist, Bunker, AbZero, KNYFE, and Guise. Thats 9 known heros without dedicated nemesis's.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say Guise will be a mini expansion hero. Why? Christopher mentioned that the next mini expansion hero would some sort of hillarious (you can dig through the SotM Quiz thread I believe is where that came from). That quote along with Guise's nemmy symbol seems to fit well, so I'll run with it. Another Mini expansion villain wouldn't seem to be out of the cards with a mini expansion hero, so lets just say its Guise's nemmy (not that it matters who really). So that brings us to 8 known Heros without nemmys.
WotC as I said will introduce 4 villains, bringing us down to 4.
So now we have 1 or 2 expansions left to account for, with 4 villains to account for to match up with every known hero. If there is 2 expansions after WotC, it would most likely be a standard size and a final Mega. Another standard would acount for those 4 villains, but add 2 new heros, bringing our total to 2. But whats left for that final Mega? At least with current information, not much, but those numbers could always be addressed through a bunch of Mini expansions to even things out.
If there is only a Mega expansion left after WotC, we are possibly looking at 4 villains (to account for missing nemmys) and the Galactus-esque Big Bad. Now that is worthy of a Mega expansion I'd say. The issue there is there would be no hero decks. Or, in my mind, no new nemesis symbols. What do I mean by that? I mean there could be new hero decks for this theoretical Mega expansion that use existing Nemmy symbols. This could very well mean we get hero decks for a few old Villains to help fight against our Big Bad (as they all have just as much to loose as the heros I'd imagine). Matriarch, Proletariat and Ambuscade instantly jump to mind as totally possible candidates for this (and the art in Parse's deck strongly hint at Matriarch joining the forces of good in my estimation). Thats a Mega expansion for you.
So, there you have my entire personal speculation into the whole thing. Do with it as you will. Do I make a fair amount of assumptions? Yes would be putting it lightly. But working with what little information we have, this is my best guess as to how it all plays out. Do I expect >G to throw a lot of awesome curve balls my way? If I didn't, I wouldn't be such a big fan of what they do.

One thing I've been noticing is that there's a distinct lack of unnamed heroes being introduced in vengeance card art. It isn't like GTG to never hint ahead at new characters... the heroes I can think of that came with no hints or previous appearances before they dropped are:
The Scholar, The Naturalist, Parse, and KNYFE.
Correct me if I'm wrong, not claiming to be a card art expert here.
EDIT: Personally, it makes me a bit sad that matching nemisis symbols is the endgame for determining what decks are coming in the future. It doesn't seem to me that perfect symmetry of baddies and their heroes is natural in a comic universe. There are always vestigial characters that go unused for years, are revamped, etc in comic lore.

Even though it is a bit lacking in art clues for heroes, it did give the names of 3 heroes, Captain Cosmic, Sky-Scraper, and Guise.
There is also the side of the box which advetises Wrath of the Cosmos,

I will point out, that nemesis symbols to date have always been something significant to the hero. If Matriarch has a hero deck, would you really have a nemesis symbol showing that she is a speedster? Or would she get a new nemesis symbol which shows a bird or two? I know I would be very dissapointed if villains had their own hero deck and continued to use their nemesis' nemesis icon.

Sounds like a alot of speculation but either way more SotM can't be a bad thing! I wish there were more co-op games this good.

I think that Parse and KNYFE might be considered to have been PArtially hinted at in Miss Information's deck, on the card Insider Knowledge. But yes, they have had no appearance in person earlier on.
