1000 Blank White Cards

The cards aren't all made yet. We'll make it up as we go along.

GAME TWO!

So that first game was pretty fun, huh? Here is where the SECOND game of 1KBWC will begin!

The Rules

  • Your turn begins when I send you a link to a card via PM.
  • During your turn, play a card by posting an image of it to the thread and doing what it says.
  • Unless otherwise stated, a card can be played on any one player, and any mention of "you" means "the player this card is played on."
  • If a card requires you to do something, you must do it by your next turn.
  • If you do not play a card within 24 hours of your turn, you lose your chance and the next player gets their card.
  • Alternatively, after recieving a card you may skip the rest of your turn to get two more cards.
  • At the end of the round, I post a recap of what happened and provide an update of the current game state.
  • If we run out of cards or (equally likey) completely break the game, it ends and the player with the most points wins, provided no cards have changed the win condition by then.
  • If you have a blank card, you may create a new card and PM it to me. I will add it to the deck and send a random card back to you.
  • Submitted cards should be .pngs about 300×400 or 400×300.
  • I may create other rules during the game in response to new elements your cards add.
  • Make the game as fun as you can! That's what it's all about!

To Join

Just send me four cards of your own design in a PM and I'll add them to the deck! We use these to get started. Turn order will be determined by the order I recieve the players' cards in. Cards need a picture, a title, and a description of what they do. If the card has an ongoing effect( like giving someone a special ability or adding a new rule to the game), it stays in play and its effect ends when the card goes away. If it's just a one-time thing( like drawing a card or losing some points) the card is discarded after use. Usually.

So far I've gotten cards from phantaskippy, Mezike, and TheJayMann. BlueHairedMeerkat, Silverleaf, and Ronway still must send me their four starter cards. As I mentioned in the other thread, this second game isn't gonna start for at least a week or so, so there's plenty of time to get them made.

Also, I've just created this one card that I'm really excited about and can't wait to see how it works! I don't wanna give anything away, so all I'm saying is cards that make players lose points will get pretty valuable...

I play a CENTIPEDE!

Looking down, I count six legs that are mine; two human legs (definitely mine) and four chair legs (and the chair is mine). Now you may say that I'm being ridiculous, that I don't have a leg to stand on, but the card clearly states that it's just legs you have, not necessarily legs attached to you, so I so have a leg to stand on... and that leg brings me to 700 points :P

For this round, I shall ask, how many Ronway's does it take to screw in a light bulb, when the ladder is lathered in soap?

AL
Alex

#16

(I was expecting people to use the Demon Cat to get information related to the game, but silly questions work fine too I guess)

Seven. One to rinse the ladder off, dry it, and put the freshly-cleaned ladder neatly away in the closet; three to form a human pyramid under the bulb; one to climb the Ronway pyramid and replace the bulb; and one more to operate the Ronway Cloning Device beforehand( yes, the device only works on Ronway. Nobody knows why).

Also, here are the rules for handling cards with HP:

Additional Rule: Cards with Hit Points

Any time you activate a card effect that causes player(s) to lose points as part of its use, you may shift the point loss portion of the effect from a player's score to the HP of an HP-holding card in that player's play area. Decide whether or not to do this for each affected player individually. If a card's HP is reduced to 0 or lower, it is destroyed. HP may be restored to cards in a similar fasion. It's possible for a card to obtain more HP than its starting HP.

I neglected to include this in the rules, but in the game I'm basing this on if you miss your turn twice in a row you get removed or replaced. Given that Mezike hasn't been seen online for 5 days as of now, it looks like he might not find out the game began in time to play it. There don't happen to be any spectators who'd be interested in taking Mezike's place, does there?

Recap Time!

Phantaskippy kicked off the game by summoning Bill Cipher, the dream demon. Bill invaded the mind of a certain blue-haired meerkat, and gave phantaskippy intel and a pile of deer teeth.

BlueHairedMeerkat, in an effort to make sure his mental faculties were undamaged after the intrusion, decided to count his legs. Luckily, it seems he still knows how to count. He got a bit carried away and counted some other legs that weren't technically a part of his body, but... um... we'll cut him some slack, I guess. He's probably fine, right??

Ronway also called forth a monster; that weird, semi-omniscient cat thing from Adventure Time. He needed its special brand of almost-knowledge to determine how many of himself he would need to change a lightbulb.

Mezike went mysteriously missing, and has not yet acted this game. In his absence, the Penguin Mafia took over his play area, sent by Silverleaf at the round's end.

Status:

The deck has 66 cards remaining.

Phantaskippy has 0 points and 34 deer teeth.

Mezike has 0 points and might get replaced if he doesn't show up next round!

-May not play cards. Must instead give a random player all but one of the cards under Mafia Penguin.

BlueHairedMeerkat has 700 points.

Ronway has 0 points.

-Can get one almost-accurate answer to a question each round. , 500HP

Silverleaf has 0 points.

So wait, how does one get rid of the Mafia Penguin card if it's in their play area?

That's fine! I actually just got a job( as a game artist! ^‿^), too, so it's possible I won't be able to keep this running. I'll try my best, though. This is a lot of fun.

I think the simplest way to handle this is to just put Mafia Penguin back in Silverleaf's hand, let everyone who sent a card to Mezike get it back, and let Silverleaf play the Mafia Penguin card for free next turn.

And because I couldn't bear to see this card shuffled back into the deck, I'm gonna play it for Mezike before I dissolve his hand:

>You can read the aforementioned .txt file here.

Lemme just generate some Pochimeras for you...

OK! Phantaskippy gets a Weepinoom:

BlueHairedMeerkat gets a Magnebro:

Ronway gets a Grichoke:

And Silverleaf gets a Dragoneot:

Have fun! :D

My god, this is going to require so much dice-rolling on my part...
Anyway, the Confusion move recharged at the end of your turn, the Thunderwave move didn't.

Also, let's make a rule that you can only be affected by one special condition at a time. Yes, this does mean that ****ing annoying confused/paralyzed combo isn't possible here like it would be in the real game, but I'm willing to make that sacrifice. What you did is fine, of course.

The confusion only has a 50% chance to take effect. Just attempt to take your turn as normal, and afterward I'll

A) Tell you whether the confusion disrupted your card play(s), if any

B) If it did, I'll undo your card play(s), select a random player, and play a random card from your hand on them for each unsuccessful card play

C) Tell you if the confusion effect went away at your turn's end( a 1 in 5 chance)

Right, this should be interesting. I use both Aerial Ace (to ignore the "sometimes this card effect won't happen" rule) and Dragon Dance (to double the effect of my next card play).

I play...

...on Meerkat, since he has the most points. You're welcome.

Also the Mafia Penguin takes a liking to Ronway. You know, the kind of liking that ends up with severed horses' heads in your bed.

Actually, since Thunderwave also gives card-granted abilities a 50% failure chance, then... hmm. Let me think this through.

First, I'll just go through all the things you attempted in the order they were mentioned, and determine which ones got through the Thunderwave.

Aerial Ace: Succeeds

Dragon Dance: Fails (because of Thunderwave)

Silly Match-3 Game: Succeeds automatically, assuming this is the extra card you played in conjunction with Aerial Ace

Mafia Penguin: Succeeds automatically, because I gave special permission.

So you manage to play both cards, but neither one is enhanced by Dragon Dance. And for future refrence, Dragon Dance doesn't work on cards played using Aerial Ace, because it ignores all non-pregame rules, including beneficial ones like the Dragon Dance ability.

Oh, you didn't make your normal card play for this turn. Was that intentional?

Aerial Ace doesn't get applied to your regular card play, it is a card play in of itself. Activating its effect causes you to play a card, and for that card play only the non-pregame rules about playing cards don't apply. So when you used it to put Silly Match 3 Game into play, that card play wasn't affected by Thunderwave( but the use of the Aerial Ace ability was; it still had the 50% chance of failure). In Sentinels language, Aerial Ace is like a power that lets you play a card. So now you just have your ordinary card play left.

Recap Time!

Phantaskippy decided this game wasn't challenging him enough, and took a vow to speak only in iambic pentameter.

Speaking of challenges, Mezike left the game but started a Pokémon battle before relinquishing his hand( I helped with that). The Pokémon starters were a little... off, though. Um... y'know how two Pokémon can breed even if they're different species, and the offspring will always just be the mother's species? Turns out that's a myth. It's the only way I can explain the bizarre Pokémon chimeras (Pochimeras, for short) we found here. A Weepinoom, a Magnebro, a Grichoke, and a Dragoneot were given to phantaskippy, BlueHairedMeerkat, Ronway, and Silverleaf respectively.

BlueHairedMeerkat decided this game still wasn't challenging phantaskippy enough, and put a linguistic curse on top of his iambic pentameter-speak. He is now mostly unintelligible, but that's how you know he's HARDCORE. Ronway and Silverleaf weren't left out; the meerkat's sidekick took care of them. Ronway got hit by a psychic pulse that scrambled his brain, and Silverleaf got stunned by a wave of thunder.

Ronway was confused, but quickly snapped out of it and got even with that darn meerkat by burning his keyboard, then having his Pochimera kick him twice for good measure.

On Silverleaf's turn, the Penguin Mafia moved their base of operations over to Ronway's play area. Then Silverleaf retaliated against BlueHairedMeerkat while he was distracted with some new, addictive puzzle game. She tried to do double the damage, but the paralysis kicked in before her Dragoneot could use the mystical Dragon Dance.

Status:

The deck has 67 cards remaining. (Thanks to Mezike's hand returning to it)

-Anyone who destroys another player's Pochimera gets 1000 points and 2 cards. Pochimera cards are indestructable above 250HP.

Phantaskippy has -110 points and 34 deer teeth.

-Loses 50 points every time he fails to speak in iambic pentameter.

-Must convert his iambic pentameter into Ubbi-Dubbi before posting or lose 60 points.

-Has a Weepinoom with two single-use turn abilities: , 500HP

-Absorb(Ready)- Steal random card from player.

-Poison Powder(Ready)- Player loses 25pts at end of each round. Effect has 20% chance of going away at start of each round.

BlueHairedMeerkat has -400 points.

-Has lost his next turn.

-Cannot use the letters I, J, K, or L.

-Has a Magnebro with two single-use turn abilities: , 500HP

-Thunderwave(Expended)- For 1-3 rounds, when player plays card or uses an ability, has 50% chance of doing nothing.

-Confusion(Ready)- When player tries to play a card, has a 50% chance they instead play a random card on random target. Effect has 20% chance of going away at end of their turns.

Ronway has 0 points.

-May not play cards. Must instead give a random player all but one of the cards under Mafia Penguin.

-Can get one almost-accurate answer to a question each round. , 1000HP

-Has a Grichoke with two single-use turn abilities: , 500HP

-Poison Powder(Ready)- Player loses 25pts at end of each round. Effect has 20% chance of going away at start of each round.

-Double Kick(Ready)- Player loses 100pts. This ability activates twice in succession when used.

Silverleaf has 0 points.

-Each card play or ability use has a 50% chance of failing. (Thunderwave)

-Has a Dragoneot with two single-use turn abilities: , 500HP

-Dragon Dance(Expended)- Double the effect of your next card play.

-Aerial Ace(Expended)- Ignore all non-pregame rules regarding card plays, and play a card. Then stop ignoring them.

I find it funny that the winning players are just the ones whose scores are still at zero.

Whoa, sorry for that inadvertant weeklong hiatus, there! Job things happened, and then animé con things happened, and a few depression things happened( or rather, caused nothing productive to happen). Also internet distraction things. They happened especially. On the plus side, I now know what it's like to be a father who's secretly an octopus.

Anyway, Silverleaf's 24-hour turn limit is definitely up now. I was waiting for her to complete the draft and tell me what cards she sent to Ronway, but she has yet to respond. The rules say if a card requires you to do something you must do it by your next turn, but I wasn't sure how to handle what happens when someone doesn't do the thing, the way your turn gets skipped if you take more than a day. I think I'll just choose a card for her at random and call it a day.

So... what else... Oh! At the end of Silverleaf's turn( or lack thereof), the paralyzing effect of Thunderwave wears off and her Dragoneot regains the use of Aerial Ace( but not Dragon Dance).

And yeah, a lot of cards changed hands this round, so I am going to PM everybody what their current hands are at the round's end.

Let's get this game back on track!

EDIT: I also raised the Poisonpowder damage from 25pts to 50pts, because it seemed underpowered and it hasn't taken effect yet anyway.

Recap Time!

Phantaskippy, despite being near-imossible to understand, gave everyone a hands-on( so to speak) lesson about sharing. He also apparently commanded his Weepinoom to poison BlueHairedMeerkat's Magnebro. I guess he's training it in ubiubamubic pubentubamubetuber so that it only recognizes commands by him? Perhaps there's more to his accidental speech impediment than we thought...

BlueHairedMeerkat's turn got skipped this round.

Ronway was glad to be rid of the Penguin Mafia, which turned out to be working for Silverleaf this whole time(!!). They gave her their stolen goods, but Ronway managed to sneak off with one of them. He also collected intelligence on the whereabouts of his signature Ronway cards with the help of the Demon Cat.

Silverleaf remained inactive this round, possibly busy diving in her piles of ill-gotten goods like Scroodge McDuck.

Now I will show the darkside.

Anyone who wishes to sign this, I will allow them to draw an additional 2 cards on their turn, then take any card from hand and shuffle it back into the deck. What I ask for in return is any cards with Ronway written on it that are in or will be in your hand be handed to me instead. So who wants to sign a pact with Ronway?

Okay, so I'm gonna give jsz2 their turn now. First off, some late-joiner boons to even things out a lttle:

You get a Pochimera to battle with, too! It's a slightly creepy hybrid of Tentacool and Wartortle. We'll call it Tentatortle:

Also, let's say that you too have been splattered with the remains of Ronway's Grichoke, so for this turn only you may use its abilities.

Oh yeah, and of course, I have PM'd you a 5-card starting hand plus your card for this turn. Take your turn anytime within the next 24 hours!

I will sign a pact with Ronway!

Recap Time!

Phantaskippy pulled out an inexplicably-buttery club and whacked Ronway's Grichoke with it before promptly dropping and losing it.

BlueHairedMeerkat finished it off with a mallet, splattering bits and pieces of the Pochimera everywhere. He then used some of the bits closest to him to kick Ronway repeatedly and poison phantaskippy's Weepinoom. He then used his own Pochimera to scramble Ronway's head.

Ronway, with no alternatives, turned to dark magic. He forged an infernal pact with phantaskippy, BlueHairedMeerkat, and new player jsz2, giving them better card draw in exchange for having them collect his personal Ronway artifacts for him. He then pulled out a spellbook, and began researching his first three spells: One to bring back the dead, one to aquire ice magic, and one to put down a source of Green Mana.

jsz2 joined the game, aquiring a Tentatortle and some more pieces of Ronway's Grichoke, which they used to kick Ronway some more and poison Silverleaf. They also brought a sidekick to the game, a girl with magic powers.

Phantaskippy has defected, and has brought the game with him.  Everyone is now

So for this post I will go ahead and gain 1000 points, draw a card and then for failing to jump through hoops gain 110 points as well.

I don't remember if Weepinoom's poison has recharged or not, but if it has I'll poison Ronway for the positive effect I am contractually obligated to play on him.

For how this card works, any card effect you play, explain how it will work with the reversal, some are easy:  Weepinoom's poison will now cause point gain, discard becomes draw, and vice-versa.  Destroying cards would become playing cards, play a card would cause destruction, etc.

If you can't figure out a reverse to a card, just say so, and Alex or myself will reverse it for you.  hehehe

In Soviet Russia, my Magical Girl reads thusly:

"Once per round, in response to a card being played, you may gain 25 cuteness points to prevent one of the attributes on the card from changing -1 or +1"

In response to Soviet Russia, I do not choose to active her ability, so the number of points you "lose" is modified to 999, and the number of cards you "discard" is modified to 2.

How does the deal on Infernal Pact of Power now work?

EDIT: Phantaskippy, your Weepinoom's poisonpowder is expended, but you have a one turn only Grichoke with poisonpowder that you can use.

EDIT2: if you saw this earlier, you should note that I changed how modified things slightly.  If you saw this after I did the modifications, ignore this note.

A couple of options:

1.  draw turns to discard, beneficial cards turn to non-beneficial.

2.  switch so that by signing up you don't draw cards or benefit Ronway, the people who don't sign up have to.

3.  Ronway draws two cards and plays benefits on the other signed people

I like to go with the person who controls the card deciding, unless they can't, in which case the moderator (Alex) can make something up, and it would be final.

It's quite fluid, so Ronway can choose how it reverses effect, as long as he has a decent explanation.

It has not recharged. Just check the Weepinoom's info in the Status section of the recap to find out. Aaaand… it doesn't recharge at the end of this turn, either.

Oh, wait, if I'm reversing all effects, then I was actually determining if it wouldn't recharge at the start of this turn! So from now on all expended abilities( I'm ruling that people still can only activate non-expended ones, otherwise everthing gets turned around 360 degrees and nothing's actually different) have a 2 in 3 chance to recharge at the start of that player's turn. However, at the start of your turn the reversing card hadn't been played yet, so nothing of Weepinoom's has a chance to recharge yet.

But there's actually nothing in Ronway's contract about playing beneficial cards on him. That was only an example in the card description. So it works out anyway.

I think the simplest way to reverse the "overall effect" of the Pact would be to swap the roles of the first party and the second party. That would mean that Ronway gets to draw 3 cards and shuffle back 1, but must give any Ronway cards he has to any of the three players that signed the pact( choosing each card's recipient separately).

Let's go with that, unless Ronway has a suggestion that sounds more fun.

AL

Some general guidelines on reversing card effects:

  • The opposite of drawing a card (moving it from the deck to your hand) is shuffling back a card (moving it from your hand to the deck)
  • The opposite of discarding a card (moving it from your hand to the discard pile) is drawing a random discarded card (moving it from the discard pile to your hand)
  • The opposite of destroying a card (moving it from a play area to the discard pile) is playing a random discarded card (moving it from the discard pile to a play area)
  • The opposite of playing a card (moving it from your hand to a play area) is putting a played card in your hand (moving it from a play area to your hand)

Keep in mind that in the regular course of you turn, you still draw and play as usual. This is just for card effects causing you to do these things.

@BlueHairedMeerkat: Hmm... I think I understand what you're asking.

The guidlines I provided don't really apply to specific cards having stuff happen to them. When one specific card is required to be destroyed, it doesn't make sense to try to reverse that(I suppose it could generate a second copy of that card, but then they'd start multiplying exponentially and flood the whole board).

This card is pretty complicated; I think instead of trying to find an opposite effect for every part, we should just reverse the parts that can be inverted easily. How about, "All cards must be placed face down under this card without being revealed, and all players must play at least one card if possible. At the end of your next turn, destroy this card and play all cards underneath it as if they were played by you. If someone doesn't get their own card played on them, it is instead played on you!"

Magical Girl alterations:

All but one cards played by other players must be placed face down under this card without being revealed, and all but one of the players must play at least zero cards if possible.

At the start of your next turn, destroy this card and play all but one of the cards underneath it as if they were played by you.

However, if someone gets their own card played on them, it is instead played on you!

"Grin" - Citizen Anvil, Sentinels of the Multiverse, Issue 2

Just when you thought it couldn't get more confusing.

Also, oh god oh god, Phantaskippy's going to get all the points.

the idea is that the end result reverses as much as possible.

Redacted does 3 steps:

1.  forces everyone to play a card

2.  takes those card plays from them

3.  On Meerkat's turn plays them as if they were his all along.

A few suggestions on how to reverse it:

A.  On a players turn Meerkat chooses a card for that player to play, they then play it, if they play it on Meerkat it is instead played on them.  This could be accomplished by random as well.

B.  any destroyed cards would go under Redacted, and then come out if redacted is destroyed.

C.  We lock down the game and see if cards put in play from the discard end up destroying Redacted.  (I think this is what Meerkat was trying to convey)

As the creator of Redacted I would suggest going with Alex's definition of reverse play:

"All cards must be placed face down under this card without being revealed, and all players must play at least one card if possible. At the end of your next turn, destroy this card and play all cards underneath it as if they were played by you. If someone doesn't get their own card played on them, it is instead played on you!"

At the  end  of your next turn, destroy this card and play all but one of the cards underneath it as if they were played by you. Yes, Ronway's confusion will work slightly differently now, if that's what you're curious about. Now, there's a 20% chance it will not go away at the start of his turn, and whenever he tries to play a card, there's a 50% chance he'll instead send a random card already in play back to a random player's hand.

Did I interpret you correctly?

Okay, so now it's Ronway's turn. At the start of his turn he snaps out of confusion( thanks to it being a 4-in-5 chance now).

Your Spellbook has been inverted! Now, "casting a spell" means creating a copy of a spell card and adding it to your hand. On your turn, you may either:
✧Skip your play phase and draw a discarded card to cast 1 spell if you have over -3 Entropy Points and get -1 Entropy Point
✧Discard all cards created by this one and set your Entropy Points to 0

Your Demon Cat now asks you a question if you provide it with something close to that qusetion's answer, and flees if something canine is in the discards.

I've sent you three cards. You may begin your turn!

And remember [REDACTED]:

All cards but one must be placed face down under this card without being revealed, and all but one players must play at least zero cards if possible. At the end of your next turn, destroy this card and play all but one of the cards underneath it as if they were played by you. Actually, this card gets REDACTED… Oh wait, but reversed!Aerial Ace makes you stop observing non-pregame rules about card plays after activating it… except the card reversing it got removed from play during that time… hmm. I guess that means Aerial Ace changed halfway through its execution, starting with "Observe all non-pregame rules about playing cards" and ending with "Stop ignoring all non-pregame rules about card plays." So yeah. Your card play for this turn should actually be done in secret. If you still wish to play a card this turn, that is. Thanks to the Magical Girl effect, playing at least 1 card is no longer mandatory.

While you're doing that, jsz2 may go!

Don't worry, Soviet Russia confused pretty much everybody at some point, myself included. From what I understand, the Magical Girl modified [REDACTED] so that overall, putting a card under it is basically optional unless you try to play more than one card on your turn. So what you did earlier, where you played that card, was actually a legal play that did not have to get [REDACTED]. I messed up, and didn't read the edited card description carefully enough.

Or to put it another way:  Everything was confusing, but nobody has made any mistakes yet.  (Except for the mistake of thinking that there was a mistake).

And now to make the last of the confusion go away, I'm going to get rid of [Redacted].

I use one of my Tentatortle's water guns to return [Redacted] to Meerkat's hand.  (which will remove the alterations, so if it gets replayed, it will work normally.)

I will then attack Meerkat's Magnebro with a

I spend 25 cuteness points to add +1 to the quantity of 1/4 of its starting HP, so the Iron Sword will now take away 5/4 of its starting HP on the start of my next turn.

Recap Time!

Phantaskippy turned the game on its head by bringing everyone into Soviet Russia. This temporarily freed him from his speech impediments and heightened BlueHairedMeerkat's to such a degree that he was forced to communicate through images.

BlueHairedMeerkat tried to retcon this, but only succeeded in redacting Ronway's card play, thanks in part to Magical Girl's reversed powers going haywire.

Ronway refused to have the tables turned on his Pact, and willingly broke it so as to keep his cards.

Silverleaf had had enough of this Soviet nonsense, and used her Dragoneot's Aerial Ace to pull it out of the game. It is now being closely guarded in the immense treasure horde of cards that is her hand. Then she channeled the wrath of her profile picture, attempting a murder... of crows. On BlueHairedMeerkat.

jsz2 used their Tentatortle to wash away the last of the weirdness brought on by Soviet Russia: [REDACTED], which had been changed by cards in a really confusing manner. Both [REDACTED] and the censored card beneath it were sent back to BlueHairedMeerkat's hand. They then swung a magically-enhanced sword at his Pochimera, with enough power to knock that Magnebro into negative hit points if it's not blocked.

A Humble-Knight then joined the game, bringing with them a Slowfable, which Charmed phantaskippy. They then summoned an aspect of Ronway: The Ronway of Not Caring! Now they don't care about losing points as much.

She's been making jokes about trephining a lot, so at least she's nice and upbeat about the whole thing. With my dad working, though, I'm the only one who can drive her places since she's not recovered enough to do so herself. So I'm a bit busier than usual nowadays. Should still be able to run this game, too, though.

So!

Weepinoom's Absorb has recharged, Poisonpowder is still expended. And about Just Assume I'm Always Doing That: The other players' Charm and Poisonpowder effects now affect phantaskippy every turn. Both these effects are of limited duration; one will go away sometime in the next three rounds and the other has a 20% chance of going away each round. Has JAIADT made them permanent duration, or shortened their duration so that they could fade each turn instead of each round?

I should probably mention that I have subtracted points from you a few times in the past when your posts started off in ubiubamubic pubentubamubetuber but ended with a statement that was not. I get that you're just trying to make yourself understood, and maybe I should've interpreted the cards differently to allow the parentheticals, but it's too late for me to go back now. You could try bolding the key parts of your poems if you're looking for a way to make their meanings clear without losing points, like this:

Thube Wubeepubinuboom rubears ubup tubo subee ubits prubey.

Frubom thubeft ubof cubard nubo mubortubal cuban bube subafe.

Ubacruboss thube tubabuble Rubon ubit subees thube wubay.

Uband cubasts ubabsuborb, hubis prubecubiubous cubards tubo tubake.

Then it doesn't take much effort to see that this poem is about Weepinoom using Absorb on Ronway.

Rules question, I thought I read that the pochimeras couldn’t be killed if they had more than 250 hp. Magnebro had 350 when the sword went off so how is thay handled?

I assumed it was reduced to -275 hp, at which point it was destroyed for having less than 0 hp, and was not indestructible because -275 is less than 250.

To quote The Price of Spring:

> 'Killed her,' [he] said.  'You. Killed her.'

'Well.  More precisely, we wounded her profoundly and then she died,' the pale man said.  'But I'll grant you it's a fine point.  The effect is much the same.'

Yeah I just reread the card and it makes sense now. I was reading it as, "If the pochimera is above 250 hp, it can not be killed with a single attack," when it instead reads, "If the pochimera is above 250 hp, it cannot be destroyed save reducing it to below 250 hp and using a destroy effect or reducing it to 0 or fewer hp"

Yes, it is I, the GM! I'm pretty sure the other players are still here( I was just talking to Ronway a couple days ago, in fact, so at the very least he's still actively playing); Silverleaf probably just hasn't checked back here yet. Of all the players, she misses her turn the most often (no offense :slightly_smiling_face: ). I think I'll give her until tomorrow to take her turn since it's understandable for people not to be checking this everyday given the recent update frequency. My plan is to sort of ease back into this so everyone has a good chance to notice it's running at a normal pace again.

Also, as per phantaskippy's instructions, I have had his Weepinoom randomly poison one of the three other Pochimeras, Silverleaf's Dragoneot. Since JAIADT only applies to card effects affecting phantaskippy, the Poisonpowder effect on the Dragoneot is not sped up by this card. When Silverleaf's turn ends, Weepinoom will drop to a mere 200 HP due to poison, and it has been determined that neither ability will recharge this end of turn.

Recap Time!

And boy, do we need one. Terribly sorry it's been so long since some of you had turns; after this recap the rest of the updates shouldn't be hard to do and I'll be able to do them despite being more busy now. My tentative goal is to update at least once every two days. Let's see if I can get this thing moving at a good pace from now on; things are getting interesting!

Before anyone could react, a wormhole opened up and a temporally-displaced jsz2 appeared, completing the sword strike he started last round instantly! Before BlueHairedMeerkat could work out what was happening, his faithful partner Magnebro was cut down so harshly its HP technically went NEGATIVE. Not content to cheat continuity just once, Jsz2's Magical Girl enhanced the move and created a double time loop! Jsz2 acted twice at a time when he shouldn't have acted at all! He used the extra time to accumulate cards.

Phantaskippy used Silverleaf's signature move to make everyone assume he had permission to always use his Pochimera, even on other people's turns! It whiped itself up into a frenzy of energy( er, card)-draining and toxin-slinging. However, the extra exertion really didn't do anything to help Weepinoom's poisoning, which started weakening it significantly faster.

BlueHairedMeerkat thought that traveling to Soviet Russia was really fun, and decided to take everyone on another journey: A mobile defense platform containing another mobile defense platform containing another mobile defense platform! The recursion started trippling every played card's effect.

Ronway turned into a ghost, stealing cards from phantaskippy.

Silverleaf missed her turn.

jsz2 used their Tentatortle to put an end to Just Assume I'm Always Doing That. They also pulled me into the game somehow, gaining three more card plays in the process. They then channeled Ronway's power to clone himself, replacing the next turns of Humble-Knight, phantaskippy, and BlueHairedMeerkat. Next, jsz2 summoned an army of Gene-Bound Bunnies, which began multiplying exponentially. They attacked the same three players. Finally, they pulled out even more rodents and handed the spiny things to Ronway, Phantaskippy, and Silverleaf. The hedghogs' painful pricks caused them to lose their hands.

Humble-Knight's turn got replaced by jsz2, who realized he'd been pretty mean to everyone, and just gave everybody 9000 points to make up for it.

At the end of the round, phantaskippy's Weepinoom survived the poisoning! It faded away!

Alright!  I'm going to take Phantaskippy and BlueHairedMeerkat's turns in a row so in order to save on time.

Turn 1: Let's be Fwends!

First, my bunnies multiply.  I'm not sure whether the three bunnies made by the first bunny are affected by recursive engineering.  If they are, then I get 12 new bunnies.  If not, I get 6 new bunnies.

Now it's finally time for all of us to become

I use 25 more cuteness points to choose two players, rather than one player.  Recursive Engineering then takes effect, so I play Fwends three times.  The first time make me friends with Humble-Knight and Phantaskippy.  The second makes me friends with BlueHairedMeerkat and Silverleaf, and the third makes me friends with Ronway and Alex (if Pile on the Squid is still active).

Now a water-gun bounces

back to whoever's hand the card came from.

(Wow.  Typing without using I,J,K, and L is harder than I expected.  Thank goodness for Humble-Knight's Slowfable.)

Incidentally, I should be loosing points for not talking in Iambic Ubbi Dubbi, but the point losses are convinently canceled by Ronway of Not Caring, so I'm not caring.

Now, my indeterminent number of bunnies deals an indeterminent amount of life loss to some of us, but it's all canceled by the Ronway of Not Caring, so I don't care.

Now we don't have any opponents, which would make the game a bit boring.  But I have a solution!

Turn 2:  Attack of the Platypodes

First off, all the bunnies make more bunnies.  We should now either have 64 or 24 bunnies, I'm not sure which.

Suddenly, a

Appears!

Only, because of recursive engineering, three platypodes appear!

Then our bunnies start attacking the platypodes.  I'll distribute the damage as evenly as possible, which is either 1,600 damage to each platypus or 225 damage to one platypus and 200 damage to the other two.

Also, we and the dragoneot loose points due to poisonpowder, but we don't care about that, either.

Also, I think we have a combined total of 64,254 points.

Also (again), I'm now very sorry I made you discard Just Assume I'm always doing that, Phantaskippy.  It would have worked well with Fwends to create a bunnysplosion,

I think that since they weren't technically played, the copies aren't affected. So the original spawns 3, and the other 3 spawn 1. So there are 10 bunnies at this point.

Argh, totally forgot that PotS! should've gone away at the start of your turn! Let's just say it went away at the end of the round. Also, Humble-Knight's score should've been 8800, because he didn't care about the bunnies. Lemme just uptate that real quick…

22, actually.

Oh god, why do all your cards make so much work for me? Um. So. Let's see. I'll need to expand the board…

…deal in 3 new hands( Only 5 cards left in the deck now, folks!)…

I think, to make this more interesting, I'll give Team Platypus a little bit of AI. Like, if the card does something bad, they won't play it on another platypus. Other than that, everything they do is random.

As for the bunnies, there are 22 now, so you can sic 7 of them on each platypus, plus one extra. So Platypus A loses 200 points and the other two lose 175.

Theeeen… at your turn's end, everybody's Pochimeras attempt to recharge their powers. The status is now:

  • Weepinoom: Absorb is ready.
  • Dragoneot: Dragon Dance is ready.
  • Tentatortle: Both Water Guns are ready.
  • Slowfable: Charm is ready.
Whew! Next turn: Ronway!

Ah, right. I was thinking of the first bunny as three bunnies, which added two to my calculation

I don't know when I can act but I'm going to absorb a Platypus as soon as I'm able.
