Quoting multiple posts at once

I'm sure my technologically challenged self is missing something easy but how do you quote segments of multiple posts in the same posting?

I can't seem to figure it out.

I copy and paste the quotes into the text box from the little " button.

Just type (quote=NAME), copy whatever you want, then type (/quote). Just use [] instead of (). You don't actyually have to use the quote button or use a real name. What ever you put inbetween quote=NAME and /quote will be in a box that is headed by "NAME wrote."

I click the quote button on each different post I want to quote and open multiple tabs, one for each, and then copy paste the relevant bits into whatever I am replying to.

Unfortunately my browser likes to crash on this forum, so I've learned to do all my mega-posts in Notepad and then copy-paste them when finished.
