I'm about to head back home for my fall break, so I think I should be able to find my mic there. I'm pretty sure it's there, so it won't be a problem for much longer. I'll add you on XBL.

Just got the Retaliation DLC. It's kinda cool. You can play as Volus. For real. That's just weird. I got the Volus engineer, and he's pretty much all support.

I'm on central time right now, so that'd be 6-7 for me, which may be a problem. I've got a meeting with my film production club, and a bunch of other assignments/projects I need to work on. But if you're just getting ON around that time, then I can most likely join you, I'll just be a little later. Either way, look for me online this evening. I'll get all my work done earlier.

Wait, you already got ALL FOUR new classes? How? I hardly ever get new characters. I was extremely surprised to even get the Volus engineer--an Ultra-rare reward--in a regular Spectre Pack. I would give anything to get characters with that much frequency.

Mainly, all I have ever wanted to get in multiplayer is the krogan soldier class. I played as that back when the demo for multiplayer was around, and I loved it. I wanted nothing more than to get the krogan soldier on my main game since it doesn't transfer. But I have NEVER gotten him. After all this time. And it upsets me very much.

So... Sadly, I wasn't able to get on, obviously. Had to take my friend to the hospital, so I was kinda sidetracked. Sorry about no warning. But I'll look for you online some other time.

I play with a guy who's from England. Time zones don't matter to me much.

Sorry about last night. i spced out compeltely. Rough day at work.

Well. I only buy Premium Spectre Classes now. And the "ultra-rare" status I think is either just a name without menaing, or the frequency of the new classes are greatly increased due to the new changes. But, mainly. luck. It took me a few months to get the Asari Adept. I havn't tried them all yet. I'm still working on the power challenges and the new classes do't offer it that much. I havn't decided how to handle challenges. Like which banner I should go for first.

I know that feeling. it's just luck. That's all.

It's okay: I would have missed last night too if you had been on, like I said above. I'm gonna be getting on later today and a bit this weekend, so if we cross paths, we'll do a couple of rounds.

But I have to warn you: I've come to grips with the fact that I'm not exactly the best at this. I do try hard, but compared to people I've played with and my friends I've been talking to about multiplayer, I perform with much less skill than I feel like I should have. Partially I'm blaming my luck though: the store really does screw me over at every opportunity. I'm going to be sticking to getting Premium Spectre packs now, since I've realized the "1 rare item" promise with Spectre packs is not good enough. Anyways, my experience with the store:

I do not use sniper rifles. I am terrible at using them, and I don't want to learn to use them. So the store gives me sniper rifles all the time.

Since I'm not good with sniper rifles, I don't use Infiltrators. I'm not good with stealth and sniping. So the store gives me Infiltrators and Infiltrator experience all the time.

So it makes me upset.

But "ultra-rare" is a classification. It's anything with a black border or the N7 logo on the item picture.

The ultra rare identifier with class  doesn't have to do with rarity it seems.

And don't worry about your skill. WHen i firts played i sucked too. I played with two people frequently and when they began they were terrible. They could barely beat bronze without dying. But they are quite good now. To me its the fun of the game. Not the "solo-ing platinum" aspect of it.

I tend to use whoever I see fit. All classes, all races, different weapons. And always buy premium spectre packs. but buy buy them in doses. 3 at a time. When i do that, i tend to get good stuff on the third one.

Its long and tedious, but worth it in the end!

Whoa, I don't know if I have the composure to save up for three at a time. I'd go crazy wanting to find if I got stuff. But that does seem reasonable. Obviously it increases your chances since you're just rolling through hard-to-get items. Maybe I'll try that. Honestly, I've been really trying to not get so frustrated at my luck that I just buy a ton of MS points and use those to get the packs. I don't want to use the money, and I wouldn't feel like I've earned it.

Though, also, a friend of mine says she knows of (and has successfully exploited) a glitch to get a ton of credits quickly, which I'm very much considering trying. Apparently there's a similar one for experience, but I don't wanna cheat too hard. I just want to make a ton of credits fast so I can get to the stuff I want instead of being frustrated at working hard to get nothing.

I've mostly stuck to being a soldier, adept, or engineer. The sentinel is supposed to be decent, so I might give that a try. Fun fact: Though I've never used them, my male human sentinel is Legacy, and my batarian sentinel is Absolute Zero.

But still, I'm frustrated with my lack of skill, mainly because my friends say they can do well in silver, but silver is still a challenge for me. That's why I've decided from now on to do only silver matches so I'll just be forced to get better. Plus more credits that way.

Damn the store. Let me summarize on the store: it consistently gives me items, characters & XP, and equipment that I will hardly ever use, if at all. And by consistently, I mean every single time. Is it too much to ask for shotgun upgrades and heavy pistols?

Oh i know the problem with the luck of the store. But it's pure practice. WHen I dont play for a week, a lose skill. i got to keep it up! I guarantee that you will get better. Trust me.

Yeah, I'm sure I'll just learn how to play smarter.

But I swear, once I get that krogan soldier, I am pumping all of my skill points into health and melee damage. And no one will be safe.

Have you seen someone play as a krogan vanguard? I played a game with some as them, and I swear to you, they simply stood in a crowd of at least seven assorted Cerberus troops on silver, took them all down with melee attacks, and never went down or even used a spec ops pack. Krogan vanguards are the ridiculous tanks of multiplayer.

I haven't touched ME3 since its terrible ending killed the entire series for me. I had six completed ME1 and six follow up ME2 saves waiting for this game and could only stomach one brutal ending of 3. In comparison I will have 12 completed Dragon Age save (6 each for PS3 & XBox) but will never play another game of ME3 again.

Yeah, we were all disappointed. But have you heard the Indoctrination Theory? Even though Bioware said that's not the real answer, it is to me. It just straight up makes a better ending, even if they gave us the Extended Cut.

Honetsly, I had only one problemw ith the original endings.

I'm annoyed about all the people who said the franchsie is the worst thing ever because of those last 10 minutes. The extended cut fixed things, but also made me feel dumb because everything was explained to me as though i were a child.

Shepard: "so why would blah blah blah?"

SPOILER: "Because blah blah blah".

ANd I agree with evandan55 that I believe in the indoctrination theory. It's uncanon, but it's cool.

Multiplayer is still so fucking addictive.

Indeed. I jsut tried gold for the first time today. I earned a ton of credits, but wow... Talk about a beating. There is little to no time in between waves, and enemies spawn and hit fast. I am now terrified of platinum.

But there's so many credits...

Platinum is interestingly fun. You don't just fight the Enemy chosen, but all of them at once! Banshees, Geth Primes and ATlases... oh my!

No way. Are you serious? They throw enemies from every faction at you at once? That must be hell.

In other video game news, Assassin's Creed III, anyone?
