Definitely don't triffle. Triffling is not tolerated here.

Truffling, on the other hand is encouraged.

On a related note, a friend loaned me the MHR rulebook which made me even more excited for this.

And trifling is okay too.  There are many uses for a good trifle.

Like throwing at people.  Trifle is awesome in a food fight, not so much for eating.

I don't like things suspended in custard.  Put the same stuff on a table separately and I'm good.  Trifle is like cutting up a steak and some broccoli and stirring it into mashed potatoes.

Wouldn't a desert casserole be a whole load of sand mixed in with a few straggly plants, some bits of lizard and, I dunno, sidewinder, or something? ;)

A trifle shouldn't have anything suspended in custard. If it does, you've made it wrong. The custard should be a layer of its own.

Now bananas and custard on the other hand, really does require suspension in custard. And it's delicious.

I will definitely second that statement.
