Sooo, just found out on another forum that Terry Pratchett has died. Hopefully Death came for him in person like he does with all the really important people ;). I suppose this means the world will be devoid of further Discworld books and stuff :(.

wow... he is my all time favorite author and I've loved his discworld books along with his work with neil Gaiman on good omens.  It's a sad thought that their isn't going to be another one of those books by him.

His last four tweets really hit home.  He will be missed.

One of the best at what he did.  Sad to see him go.

There is also a JustGiving page in his memory from his publisher.

This is all I've been able to think about today. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you'll see my stream of consciousness posts right after I heard. That man affected me more, probably, than any other single person outside of my parents.

That's an incredible tribute, Craig.

He was a great writer and human being.  I enjoyed every book of his that I read.  He'll be missed.

A lot of good celebrities have died recently, but none have really hit me. I loved Robin Williams and Leonard Nimoy, but their deaths did not hit me. This one does. Terry Pratchett was a wonderful writer, and one of the very few that could use comedy to tell dramatic stories that criticized the world we lived in and inspire people to do better. He will be missed, but he leaves a legacy that will endure.

Y'all, I'll be honest. I'm still having a hard time with this one. I think I'm going to pull out the Ankh-Morpork board game this weekend.

Glad someone did this, it seems eminently appropriate.

Thats aweseome.

Everyone else been steaming through his books over the last week? Ive read through from Colour of Magic to Reaper Man so far since he passed.  It seemed fitting somehow.
