The question I asked I found the answer to.
Thank you for reading the post anyway. :)

I enjoyed your post, I shall never forget it.
I prefered In Utero.
-hipster glasses-
I like bands you've never even heard of!
And we have a hipster-off!
The only way to settle this now is to see who has the skinniest jeans, the most use of instagram filters and the fewest gears on their bicycle (bonus points for unicycle or penny farthing).
Yeah, well, I don't even LIKE Nirvana. So there.
So's your mum!
NO U
You have all ruined this thread, it is now the worst thread on this forum, including that one, you know the one I mean.
You take that back!
I liked this thread before people started commenting on it. Now it's too mainstream. All style and no substance.
Yeah. It totally sold out.
It just needs a few train puns and it'll pick right up.
Well, maybe someone can sound the whistle and we can get started on that :).
Woo!

I figured this would eventually devolve into a train pun thread.
Anyway, I gotta get back on track...
I'm not very good at puns, but I'm trying to rise above my station.
I suppose it was inevitable that this thread would be derailed, considering it ran off its track in the very first post...
I have been impressed by how well people have conducted themselves in this thread, but now it seems we have engineered a thread whose only destination is confusion and delay.
This is all very silly, and now it has branched off into a new line of train puns.
wheesh.
Yeah, this derailed thread just gets me steamed
Train puns, that's the ticket!
It does seem like it's our default mode of communication, and any thread will end up there eventually.
It reminds me of the ecological process of succession, where bare rock is colonised by organisms which make the conditions suitable for the next species which make things liveable for the next ones, and so on until you get a stable mature ecosystem (for example in my area that would ultimately be oak woodland).
We go from a retracted question to train puns fairly quickly.
What are train puns preparing our forum for?
I think train puns are oak woodland in our case.
That's how they want to keep us...unsuspecting. Something big is coming. Train puns are only the herald.
TRAINAUTILUS.
Tree puns?
Oh no! Not tree puns! I think I am going to have to make like a tree and get outta here.
Maybe it's time for us to branch out.
It has begun! The new leaf is upon us and will soon turn.
We'd better start sprucing the place up a bit.
I'm stumped on these
Oakay, if we must...
I like that we are branching out
Darn it, I repeated Silverleaf's. I guess I just got rooted there
As long as we are talking about trees, how do you pronounce "root"?
Like toot?
I pronounce it "root", it sounds weird when others pronounce it "root".
This thread has gotten too silly. Someone should really cut it down.
Like Groot! ![]()
Don't worry, our bark's worse than our bite.
People will grow to like these new puns
Every time I try to post here, I get logged out.
No-one axed you.
Yew people are terrible, you can't stop making puns, they'll be scyamore and more of them as this thread goes on, and you're making a sap out of poor HermitIX.
These puns are just too acorny for me, I'm leafing you.
We need to spruce up this thread.
We need to weed out all the non tree related puns before the seeds of a general plant thread are sown.
See, I knew this thread would be poplar.
Did... did we get suckered into a tree pun competition by someone calling herself SilverLEAF? Is this some sort of masterplan to take over the forums?
You're prone to such hyper-bole. Sciontifically speaking, I didn't even start this whole pun thing... I'm hardly the mast-ermind here.
I didn't even start this whole pun thing
I direct you to my signature
Whose idea was this again? I'm not leaving until someone copse to it.
I think it was seeded by several of us, really.
