So, for the next day, Steam has the RPG Maker for 75% off. Anyone know if it is worth trying to make an SotM RPG with it?

I've actually thought about that at one point! But I have no sprite making skills, so I will never try.

Bought that a while back, along with most of the DLC, in case I ever want to try making my own RPG. The sales makes it very affordable. I've played some great games made using one of the previous RPG Maker programs, think it was RPG Maker 2000.

It is a very powerful program that makes game design very easy. Making a game takes a lot of time, though. A SOTM RPG could be fun, but as Ronway said you would either need to make the sprites yourself, or get someone good at that stuff to do it for you.

Speaking of steam, anyone can feel free to add me on there! But you'll have to guess my steam name! Hahaha!

If there are people wanting RPG Maker, the current Himble Bundle Weekly Sale is good.

Niel and I played around with RPG2K when we were kids. I think it’s worth your time and money. I have an incredibly minor bit of amateur experience with sprite editing. If you need to recruit anyone for your Pixenels of the 16-Bitverse then color me interested!

Btw, for help with making sprites, they have a program for that too, Game Character Hub. It's part of that Humble Bundle deal as well. Not sure how well you could make SotM characters with it but it may be worth taking a look at.

Of course, if art in an issue, we can always try making a MUD.
