Question for anyone in the know.

Given the success of the current Kickstarter, it looks like Sentinels Tactics will enjoy a long and fruitful run, much like the card game. Christopher has already mentioned in podcasts and elsewhere that they intend to expand the game through expansions (like Uprising) as well as additional Core Sets.

My question is, is there any sort of timetable for rolling out these core sets? Since this one focused on the Freedom Five, I'm holding out hope that the next one focuses on the Prime Wardens and I am just curious how long we will have to wait between releases.

I’d say it would depend on the success of this kickstarter, with enough backs they may be able to put some capital into whatever the next core set is. Otherwise if I had to hazard a guess maybe about a year after the first set’s release.

Who knows really, I certainly don’t.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar release schedule as SoTM - especially as they are getting faster and better at pulling things together for every release.

They do have more gamelines to support though, and I was thinking on the ride home about the unique difficulties of >G. I'd guess what a lot of us respond to is the flavour of Sentinels, and part of why it works is that they're capturing a licenced product (in effect), even though no-one outside of Christopher and the creative team know the source material. They have to get the mechanics to be balanced, and yet capture the feel of his story. I don't see this being easier with three story lines to maintain! Even worse, is that it sounds like each expansion and core set for Sentinel Tactics will require Adam to produce a complete comic in addition to the artwork for the cards. Hopefully a core-set per year with an expansion between them will be possible, but it might not be that quick until after SotM reaches its conclusion

I think that may be a little too wishful. I think we will be looking at an expansion or another core every year or so.

Honestly, my bank account wouldn't mind a wait like that, even though my fanboyism wants something new… every week… I'm a very selfish person sometimes :slightly_smiling_face:

Is there a repeated post that I'm not seeing?

Yeah, I got it. Forgot the one calling attention to it, though.
