I went to pick this up and a copy of Vengeance, but I was told that Shattered Timelines is no longer available and was going to possibly re-released with another expansion. Is this correct? Should I wait to pick it up or just order it directly here?
It's possible that it and Wrath of the Cosmos will be put into a double expansion at some point, but if it does happen, it'll be once Wrath of the Cosmos is out of print. Considering it hasn't even had a print run, it'll be a while before it happens. So I would go ahead and get Shattered Timelines now, unless you want to wait that over a years time for the chance of it occuring.
Buy it in the future and then mail it back to your own past. It should arrive yesterday.
I have no idea why someone would say it's not available. As far as I know it still is. If nothing else, it's still available on the >G online store.
We have a bit of stock still for the web store (and for conventions this year), but we are very low in the warehouse, and are sold out to distributors and stores, which is probably where you heard that mentioned.

How about extra token sheets? I'm considering ordering one (along with Shattered Timelines) if nobody gets it for me for my birthday, although it sounds like I need to prod folks into ordering soon if that's going to happen since said event isn't for another six weeks.
Are there any reprints planned soon? No UK suppliers are carrying it at the moment, and having just bought sleeves for the game so I can play it in pubs, paying the extra US import costs make it a bit hefty!

Thanks - I was checking Leisure Games (Finchley) and Orcs Nest as my relatively local shops (or at least ones that I want to support with my money!). I got Vengeance from LG at least in part as a thanks for hosting the GtG people last year

Violent Silence - Cool, you live near that Leisure Games place? My partner and I went there in October for the thingy where >G (well, minus Adam) were there. That was fun :D. And we want to go to Leisure Games again some day because omg it has ALL OF THE THINGS and it was cool just to mooch around and look at everything. I wish there were more of those shops around - Leisure Games is the other side of London from where I live...well, I don't live in London (I live in Kent), but my usual point of arrival in London is Victoria so yeah, kind of southwards :P.
Near-enough, though I work in Old Street near the City of London, so it's nearer to where I work. My really local store (Heroes & Legends in Croydon) is very much Magic/War Hammer/War Machine/Malifaux based but they have a small bit of boardgame stuff (and come TableTop day, I'm hoping to sneak Sentinels in and convert a few more people...). Where in Kent are you from?
I was at LG in October too (Not so sold on trying to get there when the tube is down though!) - I got to see Vengeance up close which was awesome, and the >G guys are cool. Shame it took me half the game to get a handle on SetBack...

I'm in the Medway Towns, while my partner lives closer in toward London. Once a month we go to a pub not far from Victoria and play Sentinels with a couple of the forum guys here (PWatson and Matchstickman), plus usually one or two other people who happen to be around. It's like a regular meet-up gaming group thing where a bunch of people play various board games and stuff. That aside, my partner and I play several games of Sentinels pretty much every weekend at one of our houses. Well, the last several weeks have been at my house because I'm still not really sure how I'm gonna get Sentinels up to his now that it's spread over two boxes since Vengeance came out, lol.
It's no good. You'll have to either move in with him or buy him his own copy.

Sounds cool - I don't get to play often enough (probably only about 10 games in total, not including solos) because of my odd work hours and trying to organise my friends being somewhat akin to herding cats with a spatula! Is it a group on meetup?
I used to live in Croydon too, quite liked Heroes and Legends although it did seem very focussed on mainly miniature games and M:TG.
Now I'm on the opposite side of London and I don't get to play Sentinels too much with my local friends as the most dominant person in my friend group isn't a fan of the game (he is, of course, insane/stupid/lacking in taste), plus they are in general also akin to cats requiring herding.
I should probably check out some other London based gaming groups.
Your friend is broken. I suggest you send him back to the manufacturer and get a replacement.
There are some people who just don't care for the way Sentinels plays. It can be frustratingly random at times; deep strategy players won't care for the way things can turn out, and may feel that the game (or at least some heroes) won't give them enough choices. This is totally valid. My last non-solo game featured not one but two players who, while they thought the game was okay, weren't big fans of it. One spent the entire game bemusedly saying he couldn't get anything to work right and we were all going to die (which it turns out we did, though it was not inevitable, just a spot of bad luck). The other one played a character picked more or less at random, appeared more than a little bored, and was less than amused when he got abruptly killed by The Grave Beckons just as he and the other survivor were stabilizing. It's an excellent game for certain sets of values; not all players will share those. I value the immense variety and replayability, but someone whose favorite game is, say, Chess probably won't go for SOTM.
I have considered this many a time, at least he appreciates my plush raptor bot so he is safe... for now.
Meh. I totally should dislike Sentinels, given my usual game and genre preferences. I bought it for my RPG group fully expecting it to be a game I didn't care to play. Like Smash Up which we bought at the same time - played twice and have no real urge to play again.
And now hundreds of games later here I am.
Were it not for the horrific cost of international shipping, I would heartily encourage you to mail me your unwanted copy of Smash Up, as it is a tremendous fave of mine. (And my best friend is largely unwilling to play it against me because he says I'm too good at it. Though to be fair, I treat Ingenious the exact same way with regard to him.)
Well it belongs to said RPG group and a fair few of them like it.
Ingenious is much more my kind of game, although I don't claim to be good at it.

Also they meet most weeknights in London and I bring Sentinels along on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Like Silverleaf, Sentinels is a game that technically I shouldn't like as much as I do - I'm not particularly interested in superheroes and have never read a graphic novel (except The Hobbit). I'm okay with card games (though not the collectible kind like Magic) but really like co-operative games, the latter reason probably being the main one I like Sentinels so much. I much prefer to team up with my fellow players against the AI (well, okay it's not really an AI in Sentinels as it is just an automated deck, really, but you know what I mean ;)) than to play against other players. Even worse if it's a game that can have any element of "ganging up" to defeat a player/team. Not fun, to me. Probably why I didn't really find Sentinels Tactics hugely fun. It was okay, just not really my sort of game. Looking forward to GSF though, even though I never read the rules summary (can never really understand that kind of thing unless I'm actually playing through at the same time, otherwise it's all just a bunch of words) and just know that it's "co-operative play...IN SPACE!" :D.

It never really occurred to me until recently, but all (save one) of my favorite games are cooperative and most have a solo mode (useful for dealing with friends with lives as over-scheduled as mine).

Frustratingly, I ordered it through Amazon (I didn't realise Games Lore had their own website at the time), and it still hasn't dispatched. I'm guessing that there was a stock mismatch on their system, but it would be nice of them to let me know!
The event on the 6th has a wait list so I'll wait for the next one. I think I might be doing two TableTop day events anyway, so maybe that is for the best! I wonder how many people I can introduce Sentinels to...
