I know this will not be a typical result, but I just had a very fun (and very close) 1-player game using only Vengeance cards.

The matchup was The Sentinels in Freedom Tower against Vengeful Baron Blade. It wasn't easy, and I probably played slightly conservatively, but I managed to defeat VBB with Writhe @ 13hp and Dr. Medico @ 4hp.

Because none of the environments and villains that come with Vengeance utilize the (H) mechanic, there was no need to scale or adjust anything. Certainly, having 4 different hero targets to choose from and the ability to revive them when necessary helped the process as well. Also, during the game, the environment played 4 entry points which allowed VBB to deal 5 dmg (6-1 because of Genetically Fused Physique) to himself each turn (then heal 2) also helped considerably.

Just thought I'd share. Looking forward to trying some other scenarios. :)

Has anyone else tried a solo game of vengeance? How did it go?

Interesting.  I've yet to try a 1-hero game, though I persist in my belief that Nightmist is probably capable of defeating at least some villains single-handedly.  It's neat that you can do this with Vengeance, even if it's probably only slightly less pear-shaped than a normal game.  I would definitely not be above trying it sometime.

I've enjoyed attempting this quite a lot lately, actually. The only time I managed to win, however, was the Sentinels vs Fright Train. I have tried so many Knyfe vs Proletariat, and every time I just come soooo close, but have never managed to edge out the win.

Though it sometimes seems impossible to win, I still think it is a lot of fun, and it makes me think of the tough one-on-one fights so often seen in comics.

Nightmist can beat Voss, and plague rat, since they don't destroy your cards, so you can mistform and heal up, drop it and destroy everything.
