So now a few lucky Vengeance boxes have been released into the wild, any chance that images for the backs of these promos could be made available? Please?
Or at least tell us what the incap powers are?

at least hte incaps are up. I don't have pics of the backs yet, but GI bunker is black and has his armor falling off under heavy fire as he fires back with what looks like a luger, ander Greatest Legacy is unmasked without his helmet on the steps of some building, with someone standing over him. No idea who that may be. (Possibly original Baron Blade)
I'm totally invested in who G.I. Bunker is. He looks awesome in and out of the suit, and he stomps Nazis with an awesome innate power.
But Greatest Legacy? Lots and lots of sads on the back of his card.
Thank you! I can sleeve my proxies with bits of paper with the incaps scrawled on them now. Great!
edit: iPad thinks that "incaps" isn't a word. It's right, but I'm still going to use it.
Thanks, anyone want to post a photo of the backs? I'm dying to see Bunker going down fighting and the death of the Greatest Legacy.
We need a Fyodor Ramonat deck, has to be some timeline where he survives and the heroes can fight him, his War Zepelins and army.,
I've been trying to get Christopher to send me that art (and a bunch of other art...) for a while now, but he's been too busy. :(
did you try emailing adam instead? Being that its all on his computer <laughs>
I knew that GI Bunker couldn't possibly have the trash-recycling power of original bunker. It was just far too good in a game that also featured Panzer-Buster. glares at Phantaskippy
I'll totally be sending you that art this week, Spiff. Was overbooked with finishing GSF and getting prepped for the release party. Fear not!
Sorry about the delay.
Yeah, I agreed to that just to keep it easy, then it turned out to be game changing.
(I was hoping that if I complained here, Christopher would feel bad and send me the goods. Mission accomplished. :) )
@Spiff
Unfortunately, in the name of karmic balance for whining, your Kickstarter rewards for Vengance have been routed through Toronto, Yellowknife, and Vancouver. :)
Doh! And here I thought my shipments always took the maximum amount of time to get from St. Louis to California. I have been proven wrong. ;)
(see how I slipped in another whine there? I'm a pro.)
I think you should route it through Chesterfield, England.
I promise I'll send it straight on...
Yellowknife … I've read that somewere recently … I can't remember where.
It should also be routed through Atchison, Topeka, Santa Fe, Anaheim, Azusa, and Cucamonga.

Ooh, thank you!!
Ouch, looks like we get to see when Baron Blade kills Greatest Legacy. So, so sad!
GI Bunker is badass. Greatest really makes me want a Fyodor deck to fight. I want giant Zepelins of doom and crazy agents and the Original Madman himself. Needs to happen.
I want a WWII promo for Haka and maybe Chrono Ranger. Then have GI Bunker, Greatest, (ANZAC ?) Haka, and (Sargent ?) Chrono fight a Nazi villain. It would be awesome!
Greatest Legacy's incap pic is almost surely a reference to Captain America having been shot "dead" on the steps during Marvel's Civil War. When I get home, I'll dig up the Civil War pic to link to and add it to the wiki.
Spiff--you're right! I have that comic in TPB and totally missed it!
There are two more that I'm sure I've seen but haven't been able to track down yet -- Friction's stretched-out incap side is a reference to Flash having done that exact same thing, probably in an Alex Ross book (maybe? it was some time Flash was lost in time or something), but I can't find it in Justice or Kingdom Come, or just randomly poking around on the internet. Also, Fright Train's incap side looks really familiar - probably refers to the Hulk having been taken down while the heroes stand over him, but I haven't been able to dig that one up either.
I wonder how the GTG team feels about their characters/art/game being compared to Marvel or DC comic story/art.
I will admit as soon as I saw the incap side for that legacy my brain immediately went "captain america". I try not to draw parallels between Sotm and other comic book stuff as it almost feels unfair. Like having an older brother that became famous and you are just constantly reminded of them. Poor Loki....oops
From conversations with the >G folks, these are meant as homages, purposefully referencing classic moments in some media the >G folks enjoy/appreciate (not all are comic-related). So yeah, definitely references to other things. And from what I can tell, they love it when we catch the references - it's why they put them there (and to entertain themselves, of course
).
Setback has a bunch of SpiderMan references in his art like his incap side. Also Writhe's incap side looks like a Venom shoutout with the belltower.
Train's incap side reminds me of the X-men standing over Jugernaught, but I cant really pin point it.
I think we discussed it when we got the playtesting proofs, it’s from the comic that started the onslaught storyline.
Yeah, I got a Juggernautty vibe from that one too (if it's not Hulk) but couldn't find a pic to verify it.
While I'm asking, I'd love to get decent images of the backs of some other promos too - some of the ones on BGG are pretty fuzzy. My proxy versions are perfectly readable but as I'm planning to get some custom cards printed by Printerstudio in a couple of months it'd be great to add nice-looking promos to my order.
